Who here advertises with Wedding Wire?

I've been with them several years and frankly, I don't know why I keep sticking with them. Over the past couple of years, they've tripled their rates. I ditched my enhanced listing this year and a month or so later they came out with a "basic" at $58/month. Basically, that just makes me show up n DJ inquiries, with no guarantee of placement. BTW, I believe I understood JT (Kansas City) that he's paying $35/month for the same thing they charge me $58. I have a photog friend who swears by them and pays a few hundred per month but I just don't see the traffic, either now or back when I had the top slot(s). I'm strongly thinking of ditching them this year, especially if/when they come back at me with another un-substantiated rate increase.

In other words, THEY SUCK. I hope the above was clear enough.

Oh yea, one more little sidenote. Last year, WW contacted me to "give me the opportunity" to provide sound and uplighting for their little mixer to try and sell new vendors on their service. They wanted about $2k worth of services and had a long list of demands. I was about to do it until, at practically the same time, they jack me with a 300% rate increase. I got on the phone and told one of the mucky-mucks where he could stick it. They've not even invited me to any of the mixers since then.

They are not a good partner.

In my area they are well worth the cost.

Wes I find that in my area if you look up Modesto DJ wedding wire is on the very top. I guess you would need to look up Modesto California DJ. There are a few Modesto's in the USA but we are still the home of George Lucas, Jeremy Renner and some really famous Killers (Ouch).
