Wish us luck

My wife left about an hour ago, headed for Birmingham where she's doing her first wedding as the lead photographer. She's nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It was a freebie for my cousin. Small, informal event in the backyard of a private residence. Since they didn't have music or a DJ either, I also sent along my ceremony rig (Behringer pmp550 and Peavey pr10 cabs) and my brother-in-law will be acting as MC/DJ. The groom is a pastor and I doubt there will be any dancing to speak of. I hated to have her flying solo (I have a 2 weddings with Photobooths in Nashville tomorrow) on her first but this should be a good confidence builder. Poor girl has been a nervous wreck this whole week, she's such a perfectionist.

Somebody cross your fingers for us, please.

Thanks guys but it ain't happened yet. Just spoke with my sister, who is also down there. Storms destroyed the tent last night. They apparently had borrowed one from an individual instead of paying a tent company for a rental (Bride's family has no money). Still have 40-60 percent chance of rain. They have a church (the groom co-pastors there) they can move it to, and they'd have plenty of room, but bride is being stubborn. My wife is obviously nervous about doing one in the rain but I gave them instructions on keeping gear covered and just watching the show unfold. Don't get involved is the word of the day. Quick update, she handled it like a champ. Ended up having to oversee sound and photo and had to work around an uncle with a camera who was being a PITA. Haven't got the shots edited yet but we previewed last night after she got home. While I'm no photographer, it looked good to me and she used both the 70-200mm and the 24-105 lenses. I think this little trial run probably did a lot towards building her confidence. Thanks for your kind thoughts everyone.
