I don't listen to anything in my town, but I do listen to a lot on iheartradio through the Blackberry. The top three I listen too on there are:

98 Rock (from Tampa Bay)
Bill 95 FM (Central PA country station)
DC101 (Washington DC rock station)

Sirius/XM subscriber

If required to make a list of local stations:
ESPN AM-1350 WWWL
Mix 92.3, WDVW-FM
WWL 870AM

I occasionally listen to the radio here, but it is literally a radio black hole and not very good for finding out what's popular amongst high school and college students.

http://www.wazy.com/ - Z96.5 FM, Top 40 but very little of the new urban tunes get played unless they hit the pop charts.

http://www.artisticradio.com/wshp.htm - 95.7 FM "The Rocket," Classic rock, "targeting ages 25-54," so they include old 90s rock now. The format recently changed from 70s-80s classic rock to adding the 90s rock.

http://wbpefm.com/ - Bob 95.3 FM, A shuffle of hits primarily from the 80s and 90s with occasional current adult contemporary and 70s hits mixed in. This station is hit or miss, but great if there's nothing else on the radio. There are no radio shows, just tunes, bots, and ads. There is one radio personality, "The Weather Girl," who records the daily weather forecast and makes appearances for the station. Weird. This station used to be a country station but could not compete with the other country station, so the format was switched to this.

I used to listen to 102.9 (http://www.b1029.com/index.php) but at the turn of the year, they switched from Top 40 to a format of Top 40 minus hip-hop or rap. They are now essentially an adult contemporary station with the occasional pop-rock. Even though I'm in their target demographic, I must be an odd-ball. I can't stand hearing John Mayer and Michael Bublé every hour!

I only listen to two stations. Both can be heard online for those who are interested.

WEVL 89.9FM - An independant, listener supported station with no affiliations to Corp. America or any University. They run no commercials. They play 2-3 hour sets by genre. They play every genre you can thing of every week.

WIVG 96.1FM - A locally owned station owned by one of the areas wealthiest men. Dr. George Flinn. I would say they play a wide vairiety of music with a heavy dose of Americana (for lack of a better description).

77, WABC

Oh wait, that was 40 years ago... I have no idea -- I haven't really listened to the radio in many years. Am I missing anything...?

Really can't say Rick! Since you have retired and don't even go out much anymore. You and Faith can sit in the comfort of yer own, order as many brew as yer want (Yer will have to go git it yerself though from the fridge) and not have to worry about running a gauntlet from the local Gendarme on yer way back home! Yer can't get a DWI in yer own crib can yer? You can listen to whatever yer want on the Internet these days!:sqwink:

Yer pretty close to the mark... :)

I have been driving a bit lately, since the beer dude went out of business -- but I don't listen to music when I drive, since I rarely go more than 2 miles each way. Don't like being distracted when I drive anyway.

If somebody here mentions a new tune, or I read about it on the news, I will go online and check it out -- but that's about it anymore.

When I'm coding, I have to listen to music all day -- ya get sick of it at times... :sqerr:

Usually it's Sirius but when I do listen to local radio it's Max 98.3 the local classic rock/hits station

The top 2 stations in the market are 101.9 The Giant a top 40 station and 103.5 The Eagle a country station

I listen to pandora radio in my truck most of the time. I never listen to radio at home.

When I listen to terrestrial radio I listen to:

93.7 The Fan - Sports Talk

105.9 The X - Alternative with Sports Talk 3pm to 6pm and Carries all Pens Games.

102.5 WDVE - Classic Rock and Home of The Steelers

I work for four stations in my area...
so I don't think my vote counts.

I will say that I only listen in the car...cause my wife has the Satellite radio,
so I don't have any choice.

It's kinda like working at McDonalds...
if you worked there, would you eat Big Macs when you didn't HAVE to?
