I'm not going to use covers but it is a nice option.
Just love the interface and the one button autoplay is back.
Also looping and sound effect are awsome.

I had a Traktor 3 demo version and it was prity cool.Send us some feedback when you will use the program at a gig.

Yes, it is cool. I have 4 more gigs in November on 2.6 version but in December will make move to Pro.

Looked and played with it again today... Still don't have me... If Traktor did the play list thing that PRO does, I wouldnt even look at PRO...
My problems - Each deck no longer has its own effects
In internal mode, soo much horizontal room is wasted, I cant have 4 decks up and see any of my play list
No real improvements were made on "Play" now "Cruise" mode
Midi is a tiny bit nicer, but nothing to call home about
Honestly Im kinda dissapointed, its just a different GUI for Traktor 3...

I guess moving from ver.3 to Pro is not a big step.
I'm still on ver. 2.6, so Pro is a nice upgrade.

Nothing against ricks software think its great, but I need 4 Decks...

Ask and ye shall receive -- that is one of the changes for 4.2 :)

4 main decks + jukebox + sampler + video + CD == 8 simultaneous players total :sqcool:

What kind of a freak are you? You should be ashamed of yourself posting things like that here. Why I have a good mind to..........

.....Oh, wait...You said DECKS?

Nevermind.

:sqembarrassed:

Those of you that have tested Pro - will it do autoplay in External mixer mode or does it still require internal mixer mode for autoplay?

I have not tested Pro but I am sure that the Auto feature will be for Internal mixer mode only. Once you choose the External Mixer Option each deck will function separately and manually.

Did they ever come out with a Linux version? I know there was talk of it a few years ago.

No Linux from what I can see.
Also found answer to my previous question on the NI forums - Autoplay in external mode was released in 3.2
May need to upgrade as long as TPro keeps all new TDJS features.

Hey, it does play mode (Auto mode, Cruise mod automatically even in external... you just have to leave your 2 channels high on your decks... Just Tested it...
Thanks

I stand corrected. Like I said, I have not tested it.

Had a chance to play with it some today.

I like it for the most part, and it looks like it will run fine on my old lappy's.

Cool things I like:
-drag a playing file to the other deck and it kicks in synced up with the other one
-cool new effects
-Bigger, simpler display is good for my old eyeballs
-Key mappings seem more intuitive than I remember, could never quite get used to the DJS3 ones but I easily picked up on the Pro ones
-Auto Gain, so no need to pre-set your MP3's
-Loops are still easy and accurate
-Autoplay in external mixer mode

One thing I don't like is they took away the 'Current Playlist' function - doesn't seem like there's an easy way to put requests into a playlist other than dragging, either.
I liked the old rightclick/add to playlist feature for handling requests.
