If lack of money was not a problem, what would your dream system (Plus Backup) be? Give an estimate Total price at the end.

It's a hard one to figure out.

I want to go all EV and hope to start with the bar system this Spring.

My Systems would need to be versital. I really would by EV Pheonix if money permited.

I need a Live System:

2 Dual 18"s Subs
2 Dual 15" Mains
4 12" Floor Monitors

Floor monitors could double as mains for my bar setup.
then I would need 2 single 18" subs.

Then I guess I would need 4 EV CP4000s to power everything.

So to toal Everything:

2 Dual 18"s Subs
2 Dual 15" Mains
4 12" Floor Monitors
2 Single 18" Subs

4 EV CP4000s Amplifers.

My guess is just shy of $20K

Money no object???????

I wouldn't own anything. I would hire someone like Cam to come over and do my sound at each event and I would walk in with my laptop.

Yes indeed Marco and I have watched sections of a Vegas showroom pulsate with the power and incredible sound of the Cobra system. I actually would make that my backup system and stick with what I currently have though I would have a couple color changers two color splash and DMX all on a Truss where I will eventually fly my VL-262 tops.

Chuck!
you stole my idea!
I was gonna say my perfect system was one that some ELSE had to set up and break down.
I guess you can tell who the well-aged jocks are on this post!
(or is it well preserved???)

Hmmmm...

I operate very much like Cam does,

So...I'd do (3) EAW KF650's per side. (6) total. $9,000
And i'd build (8) LAB subs. (4) per side. $8,000
Processed by a Drive Rack 260 or equivalent $1,000

Powered By QSC..$15,000-$20,000 for all amps, rack, wiring, and power distro

I could split it up for smaller shows, or handle some pretty good sized shows for live stuff if need be... School dances would be kick azz....:sqwink:

Umm Houston we have a problem though these studio high fielity speakers my surpass most DJ systems my minimal view of them says they arent very road worthy.

No one picking up a Yamaha, Allan and Heath, or Digidesigns mixer/console?

For me it would be 128 PAR64's (16 ACL Bars, pre-mounted in walkable truss), 8 VL3500 Wash Units, 16 VL3500 Spots, 60 Colorblast TR's with power supplies, 12 Cyberlights, 12 Technobeams, 8 Studio Spot 575s, 6 Studio Command 1200s, 12 Shoguns, 3 12' circle trusses, 16 pieces of 12" box truss with ground lifts, 24 1/2 ton chain motors with spansets and shackles, 24 ETC Source Four ERS units with all changeable lenses, an ETC Sensor 24 2.4kW touring rack, an ETC Distro, with a Road Hog (although I would take an Avo Diamond or Grand MA).

Oh, were we talking about sound?

Digidesign is production mix table(mostly digital controller)
If i have too choose a mixer it will be a Midas.

We use Digidesign desks for live mixing.

At the last couple of places I worked we had a Midas monitor console, but I have rarely seen them used FOH. Usually like the Yamaha PM5D would be used as a FOH console.

geez Thunder...
at this point, you'd better ad a few young guys to help you load it
and a couple of hookers you can pimp for
so you can PAY for it!
