This guy is a mess. Mismatched uncased home equipment. Dressed very unprofessionally. Drinking on the job. Little experience. Might be stoned by the looks of him. I happen to know he worked for $150.00. A part timer.
A blight on the industry.
I DO have permission and full cooperation to post this picture.

So what? Seriously, Mark...what's your point? Why are posting this?

I don't know, but something tells me this is a joke, and that is a picture of Mark in his younger days.... just a guess.

another blight? whoopie??

I'm glad that when I started DJing, I was raised to be more professional behind the board. The only embarrassing DJ pictures I have are the baby pictures of me playing with vinyl!
Hey Ducky, what happened to "at least he was making money?" Interesting.

This is interesting too

Current data is only available till 2007. In 2007, $150.00 from 1985 is worth:

$289.05 using the Consumer Price Index
$257.77 using the GDP deflator
$316.97 using the value of consumer bundle *
$289.06 using the unskilled wage *
$387.46 using the nominal GDP per capita
$490.75 using the relative share of GDP

Only thing it has to prove (or that you have to prove) is that it's you in the photo and that you are poking fun at yourself. Since that seems to be the case here, I'll leave the thread be, but if you would be so kind as to do so, the next time you want to post a thread like this, add some sort of tag line at the bottom of the photo or in the text that says something to the effect that "Oh and by the way, this was me in my younger years".......or something to that affect......

It helps more than you know........

Thanks.

Greg is it now ok to provide a link to others web site without their permission such as Hank did with my photobucket site? I personally have no problem with it butt It might not be a good idea.
I'm so confused!

That's cool too, but not needed. I picked up on it right away. Good post.

Umm, no I don't think so, but if there were a photobucket url attached to the photo, or in the description line of the photo, and if that url/descrip. line happened to take you to your photobucket account by clicking on the photo itself, and you didn't want folks to see that account, then it would have been your responsibility to edit the photo so that didn't happen. But, seeing as how you didn't do that, I took the liberty of editing Hank's response and removing the photobucket url. If you want to post it to share your photobucket account pics with the rest of the gang here, that's fine by me.

No Matt. I don't think we have all done that (you have I'm sure). This was 1985 before you could buy dj equipment down the street at Costco, download music and way before DJ chat boards existed!

Here's a reall dumb @$$ for ya. I bet this guy thought it might be cool to dress up like Julius Cesar and have a toga party. I bet he even dumped mustard on himself.

I think this just goes to prove EVERYONE started somewhere. As we get older and a little more serious about what we do we change how things look and how we approach the biz. If you slam people without remembering your roots it just makes you look bad.....so remember we all had moments early on that we look back on and say glad Im not that way anymore.
