What with Thunder's CDN failure, Kinardi's epidemic, Wiz's power issues and Keith's flu... my God...

I'm prayin to the DJ god's as we speak... as my first event of the year is Tuesday.

Beware the ides of March as they say.... et tu Brute!

Wish me luck......

....I may need it! :sqerr:

Break a l.... mmm better not, GOOD LUCK!!!!

Could be worse Rob -- ya could be out of alcohol... :sqeek: :sqeek: :sqeek:

March is the transition month, in the northern hemisphere -- whatever will break, will do so now. So, it only gets better from here on out...

So, break a leg :)

Rob, what could go wrong on a Tuesday?

Ohh.... I had to ask.

I got my lay off notice on Wednesday. Does that count?

Only if you let it Hugh... ;)

Every time I got fired -- it led to better jobs. Don't think the glass is half full -- think overflowing...

Rick's right and I can attest to that. Every time I've been laid off I got a job that was better than the one I had. :)

On the contrary I had my sliding door on my van come off in my hands minutes before my take off to my Yacht club gig. Dumped my cart with hard drive but fortunately it worked flawlessly. HDs are tough. Back to the door issue. I had neither the time nor tools to repair this issue in short notice. I did however have aq DJs best friend. A full roll of 200 mile an hour tape.I got the door semi on track and sealed into place and taped it in to make my trip almost one hour away. Needless to say I was stressed all the way.

Thankful my buddy The Maestro accepted my call. I asked him if he knew anyone who was mobile to come fix my door. He didnt have that option but chatting with him took some of the stress off to allow me to get there without having a heart attack.

Oh yeah I also had received a call from a Canceled wedding earlier in the day. I was also nervous going back playing for a regular after I hadnt heard from them in almost 2 yrs other than emails. The planning committee of the past two yrs preferred bands.

I still arrived 2 hours in advance and calmed down during a relaxed setuyp time and began getting my game face on. This room is a nightmare and the Bose had been the only unit to handle the odd acoustics. I so needed this gig. The sound was praised by many it fit into such a tight area. I had never experienced so many of this crowd on the floor 78 people with 65 or more of them on the floor from the first set to the end. They are a very good crowd but even they mentioned not ever seeing such a full out dance start to finish. OH yeah and these folks are all mostly over 50.

Also hooked up with a school admin who will be recommending me for grads in her district as well as teen and bubble type events.

The day presented many challenges and stress but as I drove home with door securely taped. I could only think I so love my Job.

Ive got to convince a club to spend $5400 on replacement bulbs and that they need a new computer with light jockey because that died this weekend as well... So I ran a $50,000 light show with a few black lights and some Christmas lights this weekend... Something that would have cost me $1000, buying all brand new... FML LOL

If you need back up equipment, you know who to call.

My Eons don't have anything spray painted on them. :sqlaugh:

Good to know... I'd rather use your Dyna's as backup.... LOL

Speaking of Eons are they the powered G2s?

I had a set of those back before I started DJ'n and loved 'em... unfortunately I needed to make a car payment.

I bought the set for $150... yup you heard me $150.00 and I'm pretty darn sure they were hawt! Sold them for $400.00

Make your checklist and don't forget to write down the necessary power cords/adapters and cables.
