I have a logo that i think might be past it's prime. I have been thinking about using the letters "A" "N" "S" in a logo base kind of idea. I just though that you all may have some ideas too.

Here's my current one. Looking for a more classy look.

Hugh,

If you are going to get past the High School look you have to get past the High School Name!

Although I happen to like the High school name. Our company name "Thunder Music Entertainment" is also very high schoolish as well!

But I will venture one.................

simply

SWANKE ENTERTAINMENT

As I said Hugh ask and you never know what you'll recieve

Hugh,

Have you approached Hank yet?

Also, doing some 'googling' of dj logos is a great way to churn the ideas. I'm not saying to duplicate anything you see, but you might see something that is close to what you're looking for and then it's easier to narrow it down if you go to someone like Hank. You won't waste as much time in development.

Couple of suggestions

To increase the classy look...
1) I think you have to move away from yellow. Look at silver
2) Font type will also impact the impression - your current is very rounded and younger (HS) font. To go with the silver- sharper edges - 'stronger font'

All depends on what you want to convey... from "we are having a party" (like you have now) - to "we are all business and very professional" to somewhere inbetween

There are many ways to go for a classy look. In designing your new logo, shoot for straight lines, 2-D graphics, and more formal texts (serif fonts, scripts).

EDIT: On the 2-D note, I'm talking about removing the 3-D effects from the texts. It's still fine to have depth within the banner.

Ducky,

This is the way I am looking to go. Thanks for your input. Honestly!!!

Are you looking to revamp your company's image entirely? Good luck with it all; it'll be a bit of work, but worth the effort. My recommendation is to start with the name and go from there, keeping in mind the different thoughts folks on this thread shared about the design.

Perhaps you should include a silhouette of a swan in your logo. ;)

I have ideas for your logo, but I charge for concepts anymore. However, my thought is that you can find a swan graphic (even a Clip Art could potentially work), change it into a silhouette and have your new company name (especially if you use your last name) overlapping the body portion of the swan.

You also need to consider colors. A lighter green on black could work. To keep it classy with the colors, I would stick with a solid shade green, blue, or indigo.
