I send out my documents as word documents whats the issue with not going that route and allowing difficulties the PDF route can cause?

Good point, so do I. I think I'm going to try and send both and give clear instructions on how to use the PDF with Foxit. We'll see how it goes. Here's a couple more reasons....

1. Some of the time brides don't know how to use word processing programs and the document comes back all funky lookin'.

2. Sometimes I can't read brides handwriting

3. Sometimes I can't read my handwriting.

4. Typing is pretty.

5. I'm hoping this all leads to a solution I can just host on my own server.

BTW, I am probably spelling it wrong too, but I "think" you have hors' doerves spelled incorrectly as well.

We should all probably use "appetizers". :)

Jeremiah do you have the capabilities to just throw a form up on your website? That would save you all the headaches of Adobe vs. Foxit vs. Word and require no knowledge on the client's part.

You can implement a Catchpa (the funky looking letters in an image) to twart spammers or just password protect the directory.

My ultimate goal with this really is to make this turnkey for my webmaster. I figured PDF was the way to go....just trying to do as much legwork for him as possible.

You got it bro, this is the best way....

Just want to make sure that if when brides are filling this out and they want to continue to the next page of it they don't lose their data if they want to go "back" to fix something.

knowhatimean vern?

There's more than a few free form makers online from there it's just as simple as him pasting the HTML code into the site. :)

well you must have something wrong if you cant see the details I typed in the pdf form

I have opened it on 7x different systems and I can read what it says

so you may want to look into that before you accept any pdfs that a bride has filled in
just incase you can not read them either!!
