How much power for subs and tops in bi-amped system

I'm wondering if there's a magic equation of how much bass amp power you should have compared to your tops amp power in a bi-amped system.

If anyone can chime in, I would love to hear what you have to say.

General rule of thumb is double the power to the subs

When running 4 CV folded horns with 4 S115V's and 2 dually 15's.

Lows =7200 watts
Mid's+high's = 3400 watts
So as Jeff mentioned it's roughly a 2:1 ratio,

Better to have extra and not having to use it, than needing it and not having it. Headroom makes things so much easier and clean

And then there's the back up amps for different combination's as well as other speakers

I've said it before, I have a severe GAS addiction

And the neighbors kids tried to challenge (Soundwise)the crazy doctor next door before a party
