One of the reasons I post Threads with polls is to determine how and what I may end up purchasing. I recently did a Poll on here about Wireless Mikes and because of your answers I chose to order a EV RE-2 ND767. It just arrived via the guy in brown (Actually if it wasn't for his face and hands, he would really be a guy in brown....like me). :sqwink:
Now I either have to unload some gear from my van to setup or wait until Wednesday to do a test.
Thanks Ben and the crew! I actually got to talk to that purty lil thang called Kat this morning!
Another two shipments are expected, thanks to Ben for bringing that Redheaded lass Erika on board a few weeks ago. They caused me to dig into my pockets too. :sqlaugh:

do a test now,i know you are eager to see how well it works:sqwink:

I agree... plus you can do some preliminary setup so that the mic and reciever are syncronized plus you don't want to get to your show only to find that the unit is DOA or not functioning right.

If I synchronize them at the house, do I have to re-sync them again at each venue to which I go?
I know I have a couple of 9v batteries in the house somewhere, can I test them with those or does it have to be only alkaline batteries?

You can set it and pretty much forget it really... even with battery changes.... the transmitter, Ben correct me if I'm wrong, will retain it's memory for a short period of time even with the battery out.

About the only time you may wish to rescan for clean channels is when: A) there are more than one mics in use on the same frequency bands or B) when you are recieving interference.

So, setup each use isn't necessary.

I have only setup mine once and have yet to need to re-scan.

I scan mine at every venue just to be safe. It only takes two seconds to push the scan button and let the unit do its thing. Then it takes all of 10 seconds to set the mic. For the time it takes to scan 1100 channels for the best one, i'll do it every time.

I absolutely love my EV mic and though wasnt initially happy it was 9V it is not a power hog and batteries last a long time like my Gemini dual AA batterie unit did. Sounds ten times better though.

In a market like the Houston metro area, I would ClearScan it every time. It's VERY quick and easy to do. It will, however, retain it's memory so you don't NEED to sync it everytime.
