As I haven't used Red 5.2 in a while, I believe you click all the tracks you want to rip, then right click within the track list is and I think there's an option to rip them all as one track.

Or you could just use Audiograbber instead....

dunlopj, I highlighted all tracks and right clicked on mouse. There is no ripp all selection.

I did it before, just can't remember. LOL I thought there was just a button to click in the program.

I don't have audiograbber.

Anyone know how to ripp a CD in PCDJ Red 5.2 as one complete track?

I don't know how to do i in PCDJ but I know the easiest way to do it. Flip CD over, rub a sharp tool against the plastic disc that's facing you. Flip over, repeat process. Disc is now ripped.

FROM PCDJ 5 FAQs:

Q: How do I rip CD's that contain medleys with numerous tracks, where the music is continuous?

A: you can ripp multiple tracks to one in PCDJ. Select grab to one mp3/wav in popup menu utilities. It will start on the cursor-selected track and go from there. Example if you select 2 on a 10 track CD it will ripp 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 to one file.

Stupid question time: Why would someone want to rip a set of tracks as one track?

To play it as it was meant to be played (only applies to good albums).

For example, most Pink Floyd albums, Abbey Road, Rush, etc... There's usually no complete silence between tracks on the LP.

Stupid question time: Why would someone want to rip a set of tracks as one track?

Because it may be a live concert or a continuous mix with indexes. In a CD player, discs like that play seamlessly, but may hiccup in mp3 format.

Still waiting on an answer to my audiograbber question, please.

Hank already put up the links -- check the first one and the 3rd one.

On the first one, look near the top of the results for CNET. I took the time to read them... ;)

I was looking for an answer for ripping with PCDJ Red.

Above, you said you were waiting on an answer to the audiograbber question. AudioGrabber is the name of a specific program, not a generic term ;)

If you modify Hanks first search term to add pcdj, you will find the answer quickly. It seems redundant (and probably against the TOS), to cut and paste from another forum onto this one. You'll have to read the PCDJ forums.

I've ripped them as individual tracks. I'd never use them as a big single track.

Now why do yer wanna go and spoil a good thing? yorofl:yorofl:yorofl:

Still waiting on an answer to my audiograbber question, please.

Ernest, I'm still waiting for you to fill in your profile, please.
Seriously, if you're tired of "waiting", why don't you do a search for it? I'm sure the answer is easy to find ...if it can be done.
In fact, it can be done and I found it on one try and it was the first result. See how easy that was?

I was looking for an answer for ripping with PCDJ Red.

I provided that info for you. Apparently your version of Red doesn't support the option.
