I received this email yesterday, it came direct to me at my personal email address and not through the form on my website, my address is not available on my website. Also I do not know anyone by the name of Nuria. Would you reply or do you think it might be someone fishing for legit address so I get spammed to death?

Either English is not his native language or he sucks at texting. Let him know that you could not make sense of his text. Send him your number and ask if he can phone you.

...Or maybe it's actually Dat Phan from the DirecTV ads?

Steve, Ruth and I married on October 8, 2011.

Always treat every inquiry as if it were legit.

i DEAL WITH MANY DESTINATION WEDDINGS FOR PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD, ALSO FOR MY WIFE'S BELLYDANCE FESTIVAL WHERE PEOPLE CONTACT US THAT English IS NOT THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE..

Opps sorry about caps,,, yes I am one of THOSE who can't type without seeing the keyboard! LOL

Responding with a couple of questions will not hurt,,,, where, how many hours, what type of music...

I would be very leery of it, but would follow up.
Why would you be skeptical? Until it can be proven otherwise it is an inquiry. There is not enough information there to come to any conclusion. If the prospect meets the requirements and has the money to pay the price offered, I don't see a problem in this at all. If there is one, the problem as always is the DJ.

Why be Skeptical?

Nuria Told Me... I don't know anyone by the name of Nuria

To me the name Johathan Baxter does not go with the language used in the email

Sent directly to my personal email that I do not advertise

and why does he only Capitalize his last name and not his first name

those are the reasons it seems funny to me that's all

The energy and time that you are taking to debate this matter here should be better spent with a simple reply to the sender. Then you can come back and tell us the outcome. You never had good food served to you on a paper plate? Or do you prefer to have food thats lacking served on Fine China?

Because he sent it from a phone. By the way, there is a Johnathan Baxter in Ottawa, Ontario.

Maybe he speaks bad English and may actually be fluent in French as it seems the mistakes could be bad translation or another type of problem, I've noticed some similar mistakes in some messages sent to me by a good friend who is deaf so there are other things that can be an issue apart from being a scam from Nigeria.

The fact that you don't know a "Nuria" is irrelevant. That could be another misspelling, of someone you do know.

Somehow he got your personal email address. While that's not a good thing, it's not necessarily a bad thing. If it was spam, the message would be far more vague. That he knows your name is actually a good sign.

Is it spam? Probably not.
Is it a scam? Possibly.

The fact that he contacted you a second time is actually a good sign.

Bottom line:
Are you available 10/8? Is $600 in your price range? If yes, follow up, but proceed carefully.

So here is the email I sent him...
