Papa, I did buy the software and I got ripped off. No anxiety here - just a firm commitment to stop Ots Labs from once again chumming for cash in the DJ market. Yes, I said chumming - they want to use DJs to fund the development of a product they haven't even built yet! They've done it before and they are trying to do it again.

No one refutes that Ots has failed to deliver the promised version of OtsDJ/OtsAV, nor does anyone refute the fact that Esperance is similarly missing in action. No one refutes that there is no description of Esperance, and no actual commitment to it's delivery... and yet, this non-existent program is the spearhead of their promotion?

So queer is how the facts matter little to those who want to devalue the messenger.
No one is required to read or follow this thread - and yet they do... claiming all the while that they aren't interested, etc.

Where "everything" in these posts pertains to DJs and special events - Yes, I'll admit to being an expert on most of it. I'm highly experienced and pretty damn knowledgeable. I make no apologies for that.

In my experience, true experts don't need to tell anyone they are an expert. Their knowledge is very evident in everything they do, say, or write. Typically, the reason they are experts is because they are good listeners and they understand that no matter how much they know about a subject, there is always more to learn. They are very confident in what they know, and fully understand what they don't know....and typically engage someone with very good questions. They also understand that things change. Things they knew to be correct today can quickly change, so they have a very open mind. They don't feel the need to talk down to people or try to convince people how smart they are.

In my experience, people that tell you they are an expert are usually telling you that just before or after they have said something incorrect or demeaning and should be avoided like the plague.

No where in that email is there a promotion of OtsAV - it is all about Esperance.

- where's the truth in "celebrating the release of Esperance" when in fact, there is no release date and no description?

- where's the truth in promoting a new product by selling an obsolete one?

- where's the truth in suggesting a discount path to a new product when in fact, that product has no definite delivery?

You either have a queer concept of truth or have become so invested in your position you can't see the apologist you've become for this advertisement. Scott, it is a deliberately misleading ad; uses an enticement that can not be verified or guaranteed, and takes your money while leaving you wanting for an elusive promise.
