Again this post is just for information: For those who don't care for the style, size, shape etc, that is fine but please refrain from bashing because there are some who can utilize this type of gear. To each their own. http://www.yorkville.com/products.asp?type=29&cat=64

I like the design and I'm a fan of Yorkville. I do wonder how thi system sounds, what it cost and Canute is this something you would use? I ask you this not as a put down but just to see if this is a set of speakers you would consider using at an event.

I've demoed the Paraline the kick some serious ass when used correctly. The downside is they are very expensive and heavy they would be great for a club install but just aren't meant for door to dorr DJing and they are rather expensive I would guess out of range for most mobile DJ operations

I would use these in a Heartbeat. The Subs have tilt wheels (Like my scoops) so to me that is easier than bending over and trying to lift a 65lb sub with no wheels. The key to lugging around this type of gear is having the right vehicle/trailer and ramp. Yes they are expensive but well worth the output they give.

I agree with you yet they are super expensive. The setup you showed I googled it and the price for that setup was 7k. I don't doubt they will sound great considering they are made by Yorkville. I would love to find a place where I could hear that setup.

That's way out of my price range for me unless I were getting gigs like Bob Carpenter. His starting price last I know about is $1,500.00 and it goes up from there. He even mentioned possibly getting to do a wedding for 9k. I could see myself buying such a system if I were getting gigs paying what he is getting and as busy as he has been over the years. That's not me. I just want to hear them for myself. Maybe I shouldn't go to listen to that system because all I'll be thinking of is how can I get to buy that system or steal it so I can say it's mine. LOL.

The picture shown is one side so think more like 14K and if you want to follow Bobby's example you should think Bose not Paraline

Jeff that setup has 2 subs and 2 tops. So you can separate that setup. The ideal setup would be to have 2 such setups. I believe such a setup with the 2 would be great for school dances. Such big events like that.

I know I can't afford this gear but I just was curious as to how many people do you feel 2 of these setups would be good for?

Did you read what Jeff posted? That is one side! Why is it some of you guys are always looking for the cheap way out? You want cheap shyt then buy cheap shyt and at least deploy it properly. Even cheap shyt can sound decent if you take the time to design the system properly. Don't go messing with quality sound and cannibalize it.

Mix you are 100% right they can be seperated but they are designed to be used as one side otherwise you completley defeat the purpose of a line array.

14K, seems very reasonable for a price. Works out to $1750 per cabinet.
