When it (DJ'ing) becomes a JOB....then i'm going to quit.
I did my last band set-up July 5th...it became a JOB for the 2nd time this year.
Here's why i'm not doing band set-ups anymore https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.601925619841844.1073741837.183426505025093&type=3
And it took me three days to clean the mud and water out of my equipment (and to get my body to quit complaining)

I think, that when you get that AARP card, it's pretty much time to hang up the headphones...
You can still pretend to be a groovy person -- but everyone can see through you.

So being a groovy person is a requirement to be a DJ? Let's see, AARP is for anyone 50 or over. Anyone that uses the word groovy would have to fall into that age group LOL.
I'd say when you can no longer perform an event effectively, you are too old. The actual number is different for everyone
I think when you don't have hair longer than a quarter inch, you should probably get out of the business, and go sell real estate or be a greeter at Walmart...
If that were the case, I would never have gotten in ... hair is for the weak and the women.
No, I don't believe that to be true.
I still have lots of hair (somewhat gray I will admit).
I think when you take away a man's hair -- you take away part of his soul.
Only if you let them ...
I just turned 55 and have been offered a AARP card and I'm still DJing. It's what I love to do and I'm still damn good at it. I have a friend who is 63 and still doing it also. He also is very good at it. It's a matter of knowing which gigs are right for you so you can shine. You can be in your 20's and suck as a DJ. It's really about how good are you and how much do you love to DJ? I do it because I still love to do it. I guess when I no longer love doing it is when I will quit. Right now I don't see myself quitting just yet.I think, that when you get that AARP card, it's pretty much time to hang up the headphones...
