Mix not every weekend would be fighting you may go 2 - 3 weeks with nothing and the next week 2 fights break out, it happens
Still I wouldn't stay there playing regardless of how much the pay is or how bad I needed the money.

As they say sh*t happens, Mix I don't go out looking for a fight and I just don't just jump into one BUT fu*k with my equipment and you will be hurtin. Mix I played a BAR what bar doesn't have fighting

Any bar that caters to corporate clients in a mid to high end hotel or corporate training center. My brother never witnessed a fight in the one he did karaoke in for 23 years. I deejayed there at least a dozen times...All middle class, middle to upper aged professionals were the patrons.

Also, if deejaying a bar to a chain restaurant like TGI Fridays for example....pretty low chances of there being fights breaking out there.

My favorite bar fight ever was several years ago at a bar that is mostly people in their 20's and early 30's. There was a little person, who actually now travels with a amateur wrestling company. He was at one end of this 7' long bar style table. His girl was on the other end and a guy came up and started talking to her. The little person jumped up on the table and ran down it and jumped on the guy talking to his girl. They both went down to the ground and were quickly separated by security. The little person then got into a fight with the police that came (Bar is inside a mall and police are always around). It was one of the funnest things I have ever seen watching this guy run down the table and jump on the other guy.

Many moons ago (early 80's), my band played a pretty regular gig at a place called the "Ken-Lounge." There were a lot of toughs of all persuasions. They loved us, but if we took too long to tune or talk between songs, the natives would get restless and some kind of trouble would break out. Well, one night we apparently took way too long, because the whole bar (other than us) erupted into a "Blazing Saddles"-type brawl. It seemed like every patron was swinging fists, bottle, chairs, or what-have-you. It eventually went right out the door into the street, where, a la "West-Side Story," a guy took off his belt and wrapped it around his fist and started beating another dude relentlessly. Cops came, bar shut down; and I believe that was our last gig there... But I've never forgotten it.

It should have been your last time playing there. I bet that place is long gone or changed owners.

So nothing. Got it. so in one sentence you say you value yourself more now and won't go out for low pay and then you do another free party.

Again stop assuming s*** that you know nothing about. They have to pay something. They can't just allow me to volunteer my services.

Jimmy I don't give a damn if the pay were for example $700. If it were an event I didn't feel comfortable with I would pass. I'm not desperate for money like I used to be. Bottom line is price is not my first consideration when looking at doing an event. Is it important. Hell yes! This is another event the program I'm a member of is having. They and another committee already want me to do multiple events for them and not just because of the price. They love my work and the job I do for them.

He's not assuming - he asked a question and instead of answering, you walked around it. His 'assumption' is based on most posts you've made here. Overall, you have barely charged, if at all - and when you have, you have had to split it with 47 partners and their girlfriends.
