These forums work best when many people are sharing information.

Twenty-seven new members have been welcomed since June 1.

Of those twenty-seven, two have posted.

If you're a new member here, let us hear from you.

If you're an old hand here, let us hear your ideas for encouraging new member participation.

If you're not sure which you are, just let us hear from you. :sqconfused:

I have been a member for a little while. I have slowly been posting more and more.

I had it with all the BS over at "The professional DJ chat board".

SOme here are also there but they even seem different here than they are there.

I got pretty worked up over one thread here (the drug thread) and stayed quiet for awhile after that but that is in the past.

One of the biggest problems with posting, especially if you are somewhat new to djing is that at other boards the flaming gets pretty intense. There are those out there that have a holier than thou art attitude. I've found there to be less attitude here than other places. If we all remember that there are different levels of experience and styles of djing, things will work out ok.

I have never had all the answers so to me it's important to learn and yes even share a few ideas. The best advances in society started out as just an idea. No matter how big or small it may seem the final result is what counts. And it takes all of us to make this community work.

By the way Tyrone said boob lol

I suspect that some of the new member logins may be bots or people who are paid a pittance to log in to bbs forums to post advertising. In these cases, they're not likely to participate in the various discussion forums.

ODJT offers something different: Quality over quantity. Yup, I too would love to see some of the lost come back and post. People get busy and forget. One method of gettin' their attention is a member-wide email memo or brief newsletter like Bill did for USODJA. It would remind members that ODJT is still here.

Also, we've all been slackin' on new member solicitation. If you know of a compadre who'd be interested in online industry networking, tell 'em about ODJT.

Fred I know we had one once and the owner of this forum was going to make sure of a monthly edition lol Dan help me figure it out and I will offer up a monthly newsletter. Speaking of news I just returned from my week in Vegas with my Son lets just say no one will believe that which occured in those days it even has connection to Jay Tea Vegas ODJT, Gambling, Autograph signings etc and the Traveling Hat.
