I was just talking to my friend today that plays in the same place I do. He has a speaker he uses in the front of the place and 2 in the back with him. He tells me that the owner likes the speaker in the front and told him that's what he would like for me to do as well.

I don't know why he just didn't speak to me and tell me what he wanted me to do. So anyway my question is for the booth on the Denon in the back of the controller is it a quarter inch plug in or what is it? I'm asking this question because if it is then I can simply use the wire that's already there and don't need to figure out what wire to use.

Booth on the MC6000 is 1/4" balanced... two of them... Right and Left. For me, I would use my two Alto TX 8's and run a 1/4" to XLR cable to each.

If this results in having to bring more equipment, the price should go up.
My friend is meeting me there on Sunday between 2:30 and 3. He said I can use his Alto speaker. That's fine with me. So I can leave my EV in the van.

Holy smokes Macho. What kind of place do you work in. Why is he telling the other DJ what he wants you to do? Why not call, or talk to you?

I mentioned the same thing to my friend. I don't understand that either. It's not that hard to talk to me. Now it's another thing if I had no way to provide it but I do. There's not much to be done to provide such a thing.

Just out of curiosity; why didn't you just look at the back of your controller, or heaven forbid, the MANUAL???[emoji1]

Glad to help out, but that's what I did... looked at page 5 of the manual.[emoji4]

Now you're getting into craaaazzy talk, Bobcat.

But as to this: >>>>Holy smokes Macho. What kind of place do you work in. Why is he telling the other DJ what he wants you to do? Why not call, or talk to you?<<<<

You have obviously (wisely) made good choices and have played mostly up-scale venues or weddings for most of your career, where things might get a little crazy, but by-and-large make some kind of sense. I, on the other hand, spent my formative years playing in bands in bars and clubs and I can tell you that Mix's characterization of the non-communicative club-owner makes perfect sense to me, because most of them make no sense at all!

Fixed that for ya. :)

I don't have the manual as I bought it used for $50. I rarely use the booth output so I didn't know what the connection was like for the booth.

Mine didn't come with a manual either... I Googled it and found it online, then downloaded the PDF and printed it out. Took maybe five minutes. I paid $445 for mine (Denon MC6000 MK2), so I'd say you got an INCREDIBLE deal at $50. Way to go![emoji4]

Manuals are free to view online just try to think a little and you could save yourself so much ridicule

Much too hard for him to just look at the back of the unit that he owns to get his answer. He's one of those that likes to be hand fed everything. If you notice everything is always "we" and not "I". His friends hookup his stuff for him. Just ask him what settings he uses on the back of his 801's and what they are for, he has no clue.

Macho reminds me of Britney Spears returning to an awards show on mtv after being on hiatus, a complete train wreck. But With him it's all the time.

You can't help someone that won't help themself.

Yep... I can relate to that[emoji1]... I coulda got my fat a$$ up out of my recliner and walked 20-30 steps to go look at the back of mine, but NOPE[emoji1]... the manual was still sitting on my coffee table right in front of me. I did have to put the foot rest down so I could reach it.[emoji1] If I had been thinking straight, I coulda asked my wife to hand it to me.[emoji1]
