TikTok ads?

if you use the built in editor you'll get better reach.

I didn't even realize they had an editor. Pretty cool-looking, but my creativity sucks so I ordered a batch of 3 tiktok ads from a vendor on fiverr. I'm really interested to see the difference between advertising on tiktok vs facebook. FB has been my go-to, mostly because it's been the only platform I've used personally, but I keep hearing from you and others that tiktok has a better reach and perhaps more geared to my target demographic. I appreciate your input and will let you know how it's going.

Here's one of the tiktok ads the fiverr guy created. $60 for 3 videos. Overall, I like it but he inserted some stock videos which are not from my venue. There were a bunch more but I kicked it back for revision and he still left a few in. I'm tempted to go ahead and run one of them, boosted, and see what happens. Any thoughts in regards?

Do NOT use any footage that’s not your venue.

The voice sounds super artificial. Everyone knows it’s not genuine. You’re better off going on fiverr nd separately paying for someone to do a voiceover.

Also… technical aspect but still may come off confusing to some. The narrative says “their venues” as if you have multiple spots. Imshould be singular.

I also don’t know if I would focus on saying they know how to throw a party…. There’s so much more that can be mentioned… such as “they provide the attention to detail to ensure your event is a success” or talk about the gorgeous grounds with awesome spots for photos.

Taso you make a great point. He has a nice enough of a venue, he shouldn't need to use stock photos of someone else's venue. When a potential client comes to check out his venue and he keeps the stock photos they will expect to see his venue looking as such.

100% this. Or just send me a script.... I'm in the studio every weekday. No charge.

Brendan beat me too it. I do VO too. Anyone here that ever needs one I'll gladly do for free. I would definitely get rid of the AI voice and modify the script so it doesn't sound so 22.. I know it's the target market but it sounds amateurish

beleive it or not, this is how many of the ads on tik tok are sounding. a 20 something speaking as if they're casually speaking to a friend and praising a service that they used. It's meant to sound more authentic and maintain attention instead of skipping over. The majority of content specifically in the wedding realm on tik tok is of this nature.

I meant the script more than the voice. The voice is clearly AI and not a good one. If they wanted authenticity they really should have used a real voice. Obviously it's working at least to an extent but every study in the last 70 years shows that male voices are more popular with all age groups especially 20-45. A young male and a script change would be a world of difference

I sure appreciate the VO offers but honestly, the AI voice, and the script, don't bother me. It's a young female voice, much like a lot of other tiktok vids, and it's speaking to other young females which is likely more effective than a male voice. For now, I'm gonna stick with these and see what happens. In a few weeks I'll likely do another batch and make some changes. So far, I'm getting responses from the vids/platform. I've been comfortable with FB but I think that platform is used more by older people. TT seems to be a younger person's choice. Time will tell.

The difference between the other videos you see and this is that this is an advertisement for a wedding venue:.. a much more personal service/product. Your threshold for what you put out in the public domain shouldn’t just be what you’re ok with or doesn’t bother you… it should be of the highest caliber, especially if you’re investing money into it.

But yes, fb is not gonna serve you well compared to Tik tok and instagram.

Thanks for your input and perspective. I've used FB for several years, mainly because it's the platform I personally use and am comfortable with it. In looking back, an awful lot of the leads that come in from FB are from the MOB. I'm hoping to start luring a younger demographic, the actual bride, and hopefully TT and IG will be a better choice.
