    Help a brother out?

First go to the start menu, click on "all programs", and look for something along the lines of "Dell DataSafe Local Backup". Clicking on that should give you the option of burning your own recovery discs specific to your laptop. These get burned from your recovery partition. At this point...

    Help a brother out?

Many newer laptop dont ship with recovery discs anymore, they have a recovery partition already installed. If your still able to boot up and run your computer you should be able to burn your own recovery discs right from your laptop.

    purchasing macbook??

Are you planning on taking the time to listen to the "questionable" 17,700 bonus tracks to ensure thier quality before using them at a gig? I gotta agree with the others, any music or sofware incuded on any used machine have absolutely $0 value without the original discs.

Weddings Your Way of Taking Requests...?

I never make a point to not be sociable. Every request ultimately get written down by them or I. I'm too prone to forgetfulness otherwise. Now, if the same person is requesting their 4th or 5th song, then I'll just make them write it themselves. It also helps me if they write it down if I'm...

    an idea that could work!

In the U.S., it's mostly a State issue. A group that I'm affiliated with looked into it awhile back. If it's allowed here, its basically only for non-profit charitable organizations (with a minimum of 50% of the net profits donated), and schools. YMMV.

Some things people say about my site that I resent.

Take a step or two back, a couple of deep breaths, and rethink it when you're in a better, calmer state of mind. Some people take great joy over saying things on the internet that they would never say to your face. Don't take it personally, they're doing it more for thier own amusement, than...

DJ's with rack mounted pc's, your opinions please.

Yes, I admittedly abused my laptop. I've looked for awhile now into the possibilities for a rackmount. Of course I'd still carry a laptop for backup. I was mainly concerned with for those that do use them, how have they held up to the rigors of the road?

DJ's with rack mounted pc's, your opinions please.

After about 8 months of dj/kj'ing 3 to 4 times a week my laptop looks and is starting to act like it's been to war and back. Yet, all of my equipment in my case appears new for the most part. I went back and searched previous threads so I know that some of you are using the rack mounted pc's...
