I found for the events I do the controller was just for show although I do miss my jog wheels. A well mapped Keyboard in VDJ and mouse work great and feels more tactile, plus having a great sounding and versatile mixer helps :) (plus a maya44 USB soundcard)After and Before photos :)

My new compact set-up (based on my tried and tested Karaoke setup) Behringer shark (Routed through "ALT 3-4 back to AUX return1)and a Shure mic Receiver in the back with all PSU's and Mya44USB soundcard in the box, stand is a detachable 3/8 rod bent to shape with Velcro to hold the Laptop.

Ceremony set-up with all PSU's and MAYA44USB soundcard Plus a Behringer shark with a dual channel AT Receiver all in the box. ....plus an old Stanton RM3 mixer ;)

Pretty much what I'm dragging round these days, just add subs for bigger venues (Subs pictured are homemade with Peavey low rider 15 drivers)

Peavey ipr 3000 Amp, amazing for bass! I have 3 pairs of passive subs total, and just add a pair or two when doing larger events :) Oh, and it weighs 7lbs :D

Karaoke Wedding reception, made more look like less in this set-up. 2 light bars on the floor behind booth too :)

I used a bubble roller for the second coat of Duratex then after an hour or so of drying I scraped the peaks and spikes off with a plastic scraper by pulling back evenly across them, Turned out great with awesome "flaw" coverage ;)

Compact DJ/Karaoke system. Underneath the laptop are 2 mic receivers, a feedback destroyer and a nano comp/limiter. All power supplies are in the box including one for the 1x2 VGA/DA and case fan. Laptop stand is a removable 3/8 steel rod bent to shape to hold the PC with velcro. (stores in lid)

Upgraded My laptops to Windows 10 (from 7) and was having "Bluescreen" and major latency issues when I plugged in my Mya44 USB card, I use this card on my Karaoke rig, Ceremony and as backup in my main rig (line in 1+2 on my MC6000) ..anyway the ESI website had Drivers up-to windows 8.1 (2_953)...

I don't do too many larger gigs, but all these speakers sound amazing together, the bandpass subs on the end kept walking. Also Looking at some moving heads for future events.

I would recommend the Peavey ipr 3000 DSP, it's hands down one of the best amps in its price and power range I have ever heard on subs, I was using 2 Mackie 1400i amps in bridge on my 2 pairs of subs and it sounded great (but at 100lbs for the pair racked, it was too much to lug around to every...

Rayovac work great, also buy a system that uses AA or AAA as the 9volt systems eat those expensive PP3 ones :)

Been using the Mya44 USB soundcard for years with VDJ (4 in and 4 out)

Crammed all this into a similar size box (closed back, built in side fan) and enjoying the MC6000 mixer (except for the mic stage, DBX go rack piped into ch 4 line for mics) nice and compact with another amp under the table since I am a passive kinda guy :)

drzinc, what are the model #s of these?? :)

I have the MC6000 with Virtual DJ but also have my laptop keyboard mapped and labeled with all the essentials so either or at the same time even :)
