'Tis the season for Halloween DJ gigs. I was just wondering what everyone's favorite songs to play at Halloween parties are. What is your pick for the trick or treat crowd and for the slime green absinthe crowd? I mean, "Thriller" and "Monster Mash" were played out even when we were kids. I'll start with my favorites that get a pleasantly surprised reaction out of kids and adults.
For kids: "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s. It wasn't written for Halloween, but it is the perfect mix of creepy and peppy. It's a mildly stomach-turning sugar high for your ears.
For grown-ups: The "Rocky Horror Picture Show" theme. Every adult who didn't fit in in high school sings along.
