I was talking to the guy that will help me with the gig this Saturday getting the lighted facade loaded in the van and stuff. He told me that Colonel Abrams died a few days ago. He's the guy who did my all time favorite song Release The Tension. He also did such songs as Music Is The Answer and Trapped. I don't know how old he was. I plan to look it up later. Last time I saw him he was singing at a special party hat featured him performing. He could barely walk. He had to have a team help him in and out. They had to have a stool for him to sit on. I remember the first time I ever heard Release The Tension was in a club in downtown Newark, NJ called Club Zanzabar. Formally Abe's Disco. When I first heard that song I instantly fell in love with that song. I don't give a damn what I was doing at the time. Once that song came on I had to hit the dance floor! Another great one gone. May God bless his soul.
