At another crossroad with this.
I feel the authentic mirror ball is the best looking option, for so many reasons.
But I am just not completely confident that I can make it work.
Too many pieces that will need to be bought and customized, then setup and broken down at each gig.
So, I have been searching for an LED mirror ball effect, but I only want WHITE, and they just don't make them anymore.
And I am not gonna spend $250 to $350 for a DMX RGB ball.
So, I think I am gonna keep using my old Starball with the halogen lamp.
And I am considering of adding a "sweeper" bar effect.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

So, no opinions on a sweeper effect? Anyone have any experiences with them?
(yes, plain white sweeper light)

I don't particularly like sweepers. When I say sweeper, I'm thinking of a fixture that goes back and forth from Point A to Point B.

Yep, modern version of what I'm thinking. It is neat but I think you'd need multiples to make it look anything crazy .. perhaps one on each side crossing beams?

Didn't want crazy. Just wanted a white effect that covers the room, and doesn't have the same "effect' as the Dotz.
I was gonna hang ONE horizontally below the bar...or vertically on the Tpar stand.

I have a real hard time listening to Brian's voice .. I don't know why, but it annoys me.

The first video is what I was thinking of. Except I wanted the white sweeper to offer contrast to the Dotz colors.

After seeing the video with them together, it is very much I envisioned it.

Well....CRAP!
I just found a new Odyssey combo rack for $179.99 (regularly about $270.00)
And I have been meaning to upgrade from my 20 year old carpeted rack for some time.
Looks like I'll have to work with the Dotz and what lights I already have.
At least till next Spring!
