Hi,

At this moment I'm in Valrico at a production studio - I won't be back until late this evening. If you call tomorrow I'm DJing a college event between 9AM and 2PM call 727-817-1671 after 2:30 so I can spend some time on the phone.
 
Some funny stuff takes place over there.
 
But even funnier stuff happens here. The difference is that it is more HA HA funny (the way it should be), as opposed to WRONG funny.

Get it? An' I ain't jus' tryin' ta be funny.

The "funny" thing is that, while others bad-mouth what we are doing here, all we have to do is state exactly what is going on elsewhere.

In other words: others talk TRASH, while we speak of FACTS.

Yep, this place is completely different and even though some "debating" can get a little bit hot, the way members here interact is much better without being treated as if one was ignorant or not worth the time to answer or talk about something. The staff here keeps things nice and on our part we try to keeps things civil and friendly.

My parting message was identical to the one you received when I got the boot. There was never any warning or reason given. There were a number of members before and after me that probably got the same farwell message.
I had wondered if all the banned members went to hell after they left for being bad. Eventually I discovered they went to heaven - OUR DJ TALK!!

Yup... the good Professor is in good company. One man's trash is another's treasure. I do find it odd that someone with the professor's tenure and good reputation would be excommunicated from an industry forum site.

But that's all water over the dam now. Let's concentrate on making ODJT a better place ~ if that's possible. :)

Let me share some insight with a few of you.

I'm sure you have read the ADJA thread and the stream of attacks on the Board of Directors over the last year. At every corner a core group of individuals have called the association to task under the guise of "We Are Protecting The Members". Are they really protecting the industry or is there a hidden self-serving agenda?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO not by these highly acclaimed industry leaders.

Last year - Yes LAST year during the 2006 Las vegas Mobile Beat convention a few of these self-proclaimed advocates had a special meeting. Dan, Sal, Ray, Scott and a few others were brainstorming on the creation of a NEW industry association - Yes NEW - And over the last year the PR campaign began to discredit the ADJA and even limited attacks on NAME with blogs, accusations and venomous attacks that were just convincing enough to give doubt of the ethics of the Board of Directors. Just enough constant pressure to weaken the foundation so when they announce their NEW industry association surly the weak minded DJs would flock to them so the Good Old Boys will have industry dominance and power to rein!

Calculating - Cold Blooded - Ruthless - YES! Business is tough and many of us have to deal with many obstacles within our markets, low-ballers, kick-backs, mean as he!! hall coordinators and a wealth of others that test our patents, and jeopardize or longevity. But as an industry we have friendships and mentors to share with and having a venomous core working so hard to undermine our growing industry is unacceptable to me. These individuals know that I'm personally aware of the GAME PLAN and I've tossed some barbs their direction to minimize their reality - With the completion of the recent voting no matter the outcome you will soon see the Hidden Agenda surface - The catalyst for the venom, character assignation, blog campaign and the CORE reason anyone would dedicate so much time to spin the actions of others.

I personally will NEVER participate, utilize and/or belong to any organization that operates in this manner.
