I agree ((( BUT ))) the case that comes with it is NICE! It's that light-weight plasticky graphite sort of material... the stuff they use on today's lightweight luggage cases. If they offered all of that for about $799, I'd bust the budget for one. $1186 is pretty hefty... I'd rather put that towards some uplights or a Chauvet 355z moving head.
So thinking about it, there are some big advantages to this facade:
By having it, one should consider:
... they're no longer buying uplights to illuminate the panels. (money saved there)
... most DJ's only run 2 or 4 uplights behind their facade, whereas this facade illuminates
each and every panel.
... this facade lights each panel
perfectly at
100%.
... the panels are of a hard-type material and don't have the risk of tearing or getting dirty like Lycra. Easy cleaning.
... the case for transport is beast! They're made of that new semi-hard lightweight luggage material. Most dudes transport their facades in original shipment boxes because they can't even find a proper case for it.
... there will be less setup time. No more setting and creeping under the table to position your facade uplights.
... there will be no more messy uplight power and DMX wires. (only the facade power and DMX)
... you'll set yourself apart from the competition.
None of them illuminate this nicely.
I'm just mad me wanting one will cut into my new 2016 MBPro purchase.
