Compact Portable PA System

I got bad news today ... seems the RCF EVOX are back-ordered for another 6-8 weeks (I knew I should have pulled the trigger in Dec.).
Sucks for me, as I just cleared out my larger system, so I don't have a decent backup if I run into issues (I do have some small Behringer B208D if needed).
SO .. looks like I need to pick up another system in the mean time (keeping the EVOX on order). I was going to replace my JBLs (or augment them .. haven't decided) after I got the EVOX, but probably need to do that now. The Yamaha 12" subs will probably be replaced by a 15" pair of something this spring/summer.
SO number 2, I need to decide whether it's another 12" pair .. or step down to a 10" pair .. and then decide who the candidates are.
Currently, in no particular order, they include: RCF HD32a (41#), QSC KW122 (49#), Presonus 328AI (51#), RCF HD10a (31#), Yamaha DXR10 (32#), JBL PRX710 (36#) EV ETX-12P (52#) and ETX-10P (45#). Lighter is better ...

If I had to pick today, I would agree .. then pick up a nice hard hitting 15 or lightweight 18 and I'd have choices. But .. I want to do my due diligence .. wasn't planning to do it so quickly.
I looked at the Presonus and can understand why you'd choose it over the HD32...3-way system! You do like 3-way sound. Although they are a bit heavier than the RCF HD32a.
By the way, sorry for the delay in shipment. I know you were really set on it being here next week. Bummer!

Just to throw a curve here, I see that Grund Audio is now into the line array speakers.

I love those EV ETX also Steve - I think if you have the Evox 8 system and a EV ETX system you will be set for any size event that comes your way!
I'm going to consider the 15" sub, but the tops are on the heavy side .. not out of the running yet though.

If you buy the ETX15SP, get the ETX10P tops, they easily keep up with a pair of subs and I have used them with four of the subs, but that was pushing it a bit, my ETX12P tops do better with four subs. I really like the clarity in the vocals and horns on the 10" tops, there is a noticeable difference over the 12" tops.

Just got a call this morning from RCF .. my EVOX system is supposed to be shipped to a local freight station next Tuesday, so not sure what happened to the 6-8 week delay unless more came in than expected.
So .. that gives me a little breather room before ordering the other system, so I get a chance to listen and play around. Hoping to stop my MBLV next month as I'll be down the road at another show the same week.

It was supposed to be one of the "smile" groupings...dancers. LOL Guess it didn't download properly. [jumping for joy that system will be there in a few days!]

Got the EVOX pair in .. hopefully get a chance tonight or tomorrow to play with them. Missing the covers, but maybe they are coming in a different way (these came truck freight).
From what i've been told the covers are even more backordered than the systems currently. Might be a week or 2
I reached out to the seller to make sure that's the case. Going to a neighborhood Superbowl party .. may bring them for impact ..
