I just got mine as well......paired with my EV elx 115p's.......it rocks. The KW will bump for sure when needed....you won't be disappointed!!!!!
Thanks all...going with the KW181s ordered 1 today. Was able to get a new sub and cover a little below my budget.

Since starting back up after 10 years or so I wanted to give actives a try. As with any tool of the trade I realize actives are not a one size fit all solution so will be looking into passives this time next year. I have my eye on the EV Tour X line when the time and money comes.

I run the elx112p's and the 118p's. I wonder if there's a noticeable difference in sound and / or power.

Houston...did you mean don't run actives outdoor? I completely get that if thats what you meant. Texas heat is brutal and I wouldn't dare try it unless under some type of cover.
Yes you are correct, I fixed my mistake!

the 118p is a 700watt sub....the kw is 1000w.... for me.....the KW was a better sounding unit vs the 118ps....and I really didn't want to use 2 sub cabinets. The QSC kw181 will shake the house without even working hard. My gig Saturday was on a patio of a ranch home.....and the KW just resonated amazingly. Just my 2 Cents....
