Paul Weller - Early Morning Rain

Reactions: Jeff Romard
Ok I put this together because I sort of go tired of at least one person coming up per event telling me the cocktail and dinner music was kind of boring (even though it was not and it was just not there bag it got me thinking).

So I put together a mix of a lot of stuff with the videos not included in this list I have here but things like Hotel California live. Photograph (Nickelback) and and about 7 other music videos.

I can honestly say that everytime I play this stuff I have people that can barley sit in there seats. Last saturday I saw people getting up and dancing even during dinner which I really was loving. Not alot because most peeps know its dinner.

But when 80 year old grandma who could hardly walk was grooving in her seat and everyone was telling her to settle down. Thats when I told the groom I would have his ganny dancing to baby go back later and I was a man of my word. No specific order just what I wanted to do. (The thing is sometime when I do this I can feel the magic) I love this stuff.

I kind of think of dinner hour like being in a hip restaurant. Good list man.
I don't recall hearing any of that over the Micky D's speakers?:sqerr:
Must have been to much background noise coming from the drive thru.

What can I say, we must be a bit behind the times here in NE. McD's just redid their arches around here. They've been promoting them as the new coffee bars. Go figure.:sqcool:

so many to list

may wait and do a BIG list later...

I forgot this one ,, this is my secret weapon....people seems to love this song, I play the longer one, but, nice call...

I gave you a "Thanks" event if you can't follow directions! lol :sqwink:

for me
it all depends on the B/G
if they request a particular kind of music, that is what I do...
if not, I have a few choices

I have a premixed CD of very upbeat and happy jazz...
I have a collections of Sinatra, Sammy, Dean, Michael Buble, and Tony Bennett
and I have a few CD's of AM RADIO type 70's classics that are all midtempo or uptempo, but not great for regular dancing

definitely discovered the dinner music you choose
has a serious impact on the mood of the crowd when dinner is over!

It's always about the B&G and they always have final say. IMO. But if left to my choices, they I would play a number of these suggestions.

I'll try and throw a few in at my wedding tonight.
