Decent sound, good value for the money, but weak construction. The plastic flexes too much (I was playing with them at the DJ Expo), so I foresee a time where them cracking easily. If you are careful handling them, they sound about the same as the ELX series.

We picked up the 12" ones back in February (got them in March or April once they shipped).

We bought them for use in our ceremony system, but they have found use in our main rig for one of our venues. Our single biggest complaint with them is the plastic cabinet. They sound nice, but not as nice as passive speakers. This issue is negated outdoors or when they're inside a 150 year old barn built with 200 year old oak.

One of the best things we found were the handle placements and how the cabinet's weight is extremely balanced.

The plastic boxes may be lighter but the wood ones to me sound better. EV makes some great stuff. A friend of mine has a pair of the double 15" Tour X speakers and man do they sound great!

I run the Tour X at my midsized events, the single 15 tops and the single 18 subs, i HIGHLY recommend them to any who does weddings or other midsized events. This system is also capable of dj'ing school dances with a couple hundred kids. We have the Dual 18 tour x subs also but i really only seeing those used by anyone else if you have a trailer you take to events or 2 people to load and unload. If you do, then they are AWESOME subs, i like em even better than the singles
