when it comes to music? I have that wedding coming up where there are several restrictions on what I can and can't play. I am so concerned by it that I am creating a master list of things I can play, and even planning out several sets in advance.

I never did it that way before, but this event has me concerned that I really need to be as "On My Game" as I can be.

for the last several years, I've gone to a "coverage based" form of pricing.

All my hours of consultation, setup time, teardown, and playing time are added together to derive the "COVERAGE" AMOUNT. (Some 6 hour weddings are 10 hours).

Coverage is around $115 per hour, so a wedding/reception with 1 hour of consultation, 6 hours playing time, and 3 hours of setup & teardown, is 10 hours and would be an $1150 job.

Additional "consultation" would need to be purchased at the hourly rate.
Rehearsal time is billed at the $115 per hour, 3 hour minimum.

I keep my rates very affordable, by offering ONLINE consultation and song list preparation (thru WeDJ gigbuilder). The one-hour meeting that I provide....is nearly ALWAYS enough pre-planning for an event.

Papa I bet you make the list then kinda set it to the side and let the flow and the crowd guide you .....that kinda sounded Star Warsy:sqerr: Papa Let the force guide you let it flow.... Okay Im back to reality make the list but just use it for reference when needed You'll do fine, hey this aint your first rodeo..So cowboy up!!!:sqwink:
