I need suggestions for the Yamaha DSR 115 speakers.

Yep, not regretting one bit spending the extra $36 for the covers.

I just brought in one of the cabinets and it looks good. Just got to use more wood putty to fill in the parts where the wood is messed up still. I want to see the finished product. The paint job looked good to me. My friend will check it out and let me know his take on things.

Be careful .. wood putty won't adhere well to painted surfaces.

Yes .. but sounds like they puttied, painted, and decided late to do more putty (or wood filler).

The paint can and will always show any flaws in a puttied surface , so it is understandable having to go back over the paint to with more putty , thats where primer, or more so fillable primer comes in handy, but , this is a speaker cabinet, not a car lol, so I guess that would be a lot.

That's why the Duratex works well .. it covers most minor flaws as it's a thicker rubber compound.
