Ignore Feature Discussion

Maybe an "ignore the ignore feature" feature, so you can ignore ignoring anyone.
Then add an "ignore the "ignore the ignore feature" feature" feature which would then allow to ignore people all over again.
Simple.

Or..... Everyone is free to use my special ignore feature.

Works like this:
If you don't want to read a post or a thread.....don't. Repeat as needed.

Or .. if you want to read it, then do so .. but you don't have to respond.
That's not my ignore feature. That my "mildly interested, but not interested enough to respond" feature.
I'm working on a better name
A little perspective goes a long way. I see the ignore feature as a temporary tool - like the "show/hide all characters" feature in a word processor.
In a long thread with a many side tracks you can clean it up for an easier read by removing the people having unrelated side conversations. This is no different to me than hiding all the tabs, spaces, and paragraph markers in a Word document.
If I want to ignore or avoid exchanges with a given person well, I don't need a feature for that.
