I get this notice in the mail,,,,,, and I am pretty sure all it is , is a way for them to sell a plaque. LOL, They are starting at $149....

But I will take a picture from the mail and their press release and use it, I mean, of course I deserve it, I rock.... here is what I got.

Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Sebastopol Award Program and data provided by third parties.

I did yesterday, in about an hour I got 40 "congrats" of some sort :)

Reminds me of a "Best Of" contest (scam) they used to pull around here.
The local newspaper would ask for votes in a variety of business categories.
They would tally the votes, and contact the winner with a "Congratulations" letter much like Chuck received.
They tell the "winner" that they will promote their award in the paper and on billboards....
IF they buy a certain advertising package.

If they decide to NOT buy the ads....the paper contacts the runner up,
and offers the deal to THEM.

The contest still exists, but I think they have changed their process to make it more honest.

For me, no Dj awards, but I did get a friend request from a hot chick today. Of course, I love my wife and would never do anything, but it's good to know I still got it

Reminds me of a funny story. When I was living in Ohio, I took a trip to Texas to visit my brother, whom I hadn’t seen since I was 13 (I was 24 when I visited him in Texas). I was staying in a hotel and was out front waiting for my brother the come pick me up, when a gorgeous woman drove up in a red Corvette convertible. She pulled up and stopped right in front of me, and I could see her long lucious legs extending from her extremely short red dress. Then she spoke and asked; “Got any plans for the day?” I think my jaw dropped, but I had to explain to her that I was waiting for my brother, whom I hadn’t seen in eleven years (for some reason I forgot to mention I was married [emoji1]), and she said; “Maybe another time then”, and drove away.

A short time later my brother drove up and we went to a club for some drinks and conversation. When I told him about the beautiful woman in the red Corvette, his response was; “Oh, that was a hooker”.[emoji1] I asked him; “Why would you say that?”. He replied; “Look at yourself. What other kind of beautiful woman in a Corvette would wanna pick YOU up?”[emoji1]

Very similar:

I was with a guy I work with for a trade show in Vegas a few years ago and this beautiful African American woman waves at us from the other side of the bar. I just waved, smiled and said, "She's a prostitute". He said, "How can you tell?. I said, "by the number of beautiful women that have ever waved at you from across the bar"
