...after last nights wedding & seeing the money spent on alcohol, bartender, barista, food, florists. I'm tired of being on the bottom of the pricing lists yet providing the most memorable part. I've got too much experience & talent. So either I'll sit at home or get paid my worth. That's all I have to say...thx!!!

Can i ask how much do you normally charge and what did you charge this client?

I'll start by saying good for you if that's what you want.

I'll finish by saying that although I understand your frustration, "sour grapes" and "worth" are not the same thing. Prefacing your announcement with the client's other amenities cheapens the action. Every other vendor involved feels worth something too.

I've also yet to meet a married couple that mentions the DJ when reminiscing about their wedding. The most memorable part of a wedding is the wedding itself. It takes a village.
