I think tuxes are great on men . . . but I also believe a great tailored black suit can be just as effective.

I have never owned one myself and never will. I don't believe that tuxedos are feminine enough for my body type.

Since making this post, I haven't worn my tux but once! LOL

I have 3 weddings in the next 5 days, non are tuxes!! LOL

In 30+ years of DJ'ing, I never once wore a tux. In fact, the only time I wore one, was my wedding, and it was white, to show off my tan :)

The last 10 years or so, I simple wore "my outfit", which identified me. Very casual, laid back island type stuff -- certainly no tie, and sneakers (always white).

Like Johnny mentioned earlier, I am an entertainer, not a waiter :)

I remember being at a big corp. Christmas party once, and asked this guy in a tux if he could take away my plate, and get me a beer -- turns out, he was the DJ -- I got a chuckle out of it, but apparently he didn't :sqlaugh:

No! Strictly Nordstrom black pants, black vest, shiny black shoes, a bowler hat (sometimes) and open neck shirt all classy clothing - I don't want to look like the guests ;)

Alright, what's this thing with black and white...?

Anybody ever hear of colors? ;)

C'mon, ya design yer websites with myriads of colors, yer business cards, yer brochures, the whole nine.

And then you show up looking like a piano keyboard

That's Entertainment...? :sqerr:

I will ask the client always.

If not a tux it could be shirt and tie, Shirt and tie with tux vest, if casual, I will wear a pair of dark pants and a company polo.

Red or Blue Vest too Rick ;) Or I like a tux jacket and jeans with red Ben Sherman soccer trainers - sort of my Dr Who look or WTF look ;)

Lets see...mmm

There was once when I forgot my TUX and
I felt so bad about it that when the B&G a arrived I pulled the Groom
to one side told him I had to talk to him. After tell him what had happen he said...

Groom: Sh@$% Man, I thought you where going to tell me something Bad...!!!

Lately I have been asking clients if they want me to dress in Tux or Tux attire and their answers have been....No, no, no and no..with a couple of we don't care thrown in for good measure!

Not one client has asked me to wear the penguin suit.

A tailored suit is what I wear at weddings, but man are they a pain in warm weather:rofl:

Guys that wear a tux really dont want to,but feel that they have to.Know what I mean? When was the last time you were the only one in the room other than the wedding party that wore a tux? To me tuxcedos are a thing of the past for entertainers

I tried wearing a tux years ago. I said to myself, self, what the hell am I doing? That was the end of that. No one ever asks me to wear one either. I've had a few ask the question but only because it was on one of those dumb @ss "10 things to ask a DJ" cheat sheets.

I wear my tux for virtually all of my gigs which are weddings.

When I met a B&G for their May 3rd wedding reception a couple of months ago, they said that a suit would be fine instead of a tux.

Yesterday I had my final planning meeting with the B&G. They told me that the bride's mom saw the picture of me in my tux on my website and decided that she liked how I look in my tux, so the suit is out. I'll wear my tux.

Sorry, people, but the tux is in style here in Atlanta! And I really don't care either way...I'm so used to wearing my tux, it doesn't bother me except when my tux shirt has too much starch in it and I can't get the damn tuxedo studs to button in!

My tux makes me stand out, which is fine with me since I am the Master of Ceremonies. I get a lot of compliments on the way I look in one.
