I was on the list for Black Monday it turns out. I'm officially terminated on June 30, but was pretty much told I'm doing nothing till then. Severance picks up then though and I'm good through the rest of the year.

Hey patricklewis!! I'm near you. Need an assistant? lol

nah Joe. I retired from the National Guard back in 02. I was ..ahem... a part time soldier.

I'm going to look for work...sort of....in a while... maybe soon...

Funny thing is, if I was told correctly, they are going to pay me until June 30 and I don't have to work, then the severance package kicks in. If not, you bet I would be sweating big time.

Now where is that bubble thread......

Draw up your plan tonight. Try not to delay. What ever it is, just get it on paper and start tomorrow. Even if it's to take a couple of days off (part of the plan) get it in writing and get started. Utilize the cushion you have NOW and until the rest of the year.

You got let go. Now GO get what you want.

I "was" a service tech for a concrete chemical company. If I was told correctly, I'm still on the payroll until June 30, but won't be working. After that date, the severance package kicks in. So I do have a cushion. Fortunately.

No... but I have heard the the Hoover dam still has places where the concrete hasn't even set yet and is still wet... History Channel who knew?
 
It might sound cliche but everything happens for a reason. It's much better being self unemployed anyway :sqwink:
