my daughter Allie (age 16 & more sophisticated than your average teeny bopper) is very fond of the new Hannah Montana song.

Its called "See You Again" and its getting heavy airplay on the local Pop station (107.9).

Allie believes this will become a crossover hit for Ms. Cyrus (Billy Ray's daughter).

Anyone playing this song for groups other than Tween parties (age 9-12)?

Whenever Allie adds a new song to her IPOD...its a possible future hit because she is always 1-2 months ahead of the teen trends.

(Although she also added "Get Buck In Here"....which is not getting any air play whatsoever)

Matt shes not keeping up with an old worn out almost 50 yr old DJ. That song in remix form is even better.

I don't know that I have heard her stuff on the radio, other than on Disney Radio, but I get LOTS of requests for her stuff.... even at weddings.

According to my resident teen expert......its the most popular song with 10th, 11th, and 12 grade females at her school.

Looks like Miley has broken out of the Pre-Teen market.

Matt I will help both you and the first lady. Send you hints to the next big hits how about that.

I see big things in her future, although not necessarily in the music field. I find it quite ironic that she has become so successful that she will never be able to perform a show in Daddy's hometown because there isn't a venue big enough around here to accommodate her. I wonder how humbling that is for Billy Ray.

Had to look it up. It's on Prime Cuts 200750. Not a bad song. I'll have to play it this week. I have a few teen parties.

That's why I said probably not in the music industry, Papa. She does have the personality and the charm for the movie industry in my opinion. But only if she's not forever typecast as Hannah Montana.

(My son roadied for Billy Ray once. I'm emotionally invested in the family's success. :sqwink:)

yeah... if u like miley cyrus, there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....

Anything disney is hot these days...Miley has been around for close to 2 years now...Thats why I keep asking Prime cuts to get in good with them...Between Miley, Ravon Symone, the Jonas Brothers, AJ & Aly to name a few.. I personally can't keep up with the parties I play for the kids...

That also doesn't include the "Nick" kids stuff either....

Honestly, If I dont have the newest "Latest" and greatest from Disney when I play a kids party here in NJ, they look at me like I'm the worst DJ in the world...

Not sure if you saw my response in another recent thread where you mentioned us running more Disney stuff but we put the song on PrimeCuts when it's getting enough radio airplay. We've run songs from Miley, Jonas Brothers & Aly & AJ when they were popular enough. There is no music service for DJs that has every remotely popular Disney song on it. Niche stuff like that you might need to buy every now & again if it's not popular enough to make it to a music service.

No disrepect Jim, I get it...however, I guess you aren't the one djing for this little kids, and being asked for the music from HS musical, or from Radio Disney. I was inquiring to see if you can help us out. I guess you aren't interested.. Thanks anyway.
