I've bought bulk wire and cables from Monoprice for years. They started a couple of years ago to get into other areas .. including Pro Audio and Stage stuff.

Just checked today and they have some decent looking things at great prices ... No idea of the quality.

There's a nice pinspot (10w RGBW) with DMX for $40 .. 4-color LED Mini Pin Spot Light - Monoprice.com

UV flat PAR for $60 (similar to Blizzard CSI) .. Flat PAR Black Light with 144 LEDs (UV) - Monoprice.com

30w Mover with color wheel and gobos for $200 .. Stage Beam 30 Watt LED Moving Head Light with 7 Colors and Gobos plus Open - Monoprice.com

10 x 9w RGBW flat PAR for $60 .. 10-watt x 9 LED Flat PAR Stage Light (RGBW) - Monoprice.com

A 10" mirrorball with motor for $15 (basically a throwaway) .. 10-inch Mirror Ball & Motor with LED Lights - Monoprice.com

Hmmm, 30watt moving head for $200

It's going to be a real slow moving head. It will be just like the 15 watt ones on Ebay that sell for like $115 each, or cheaper direct from China.

However, it would be 30 watts...that is bright enough. Might be worth buying just for the effect if you can live with slow moving.

Well...reading the 4 reviews on the MonoPrice website, it has 4 to 5 stars, and it seems the customers are happy with the lights. It only weighs 5.5 lbs...Might be similar in size to a Inno Pocket Spot! Also one customer mentions the light is fast. If these lights are as fast as a Inno Pocket Spot and 30 watts then I'm impressed at $199.

If anyone has the need for a moving head light or 2 buy these to test the waters.

It looks a lot like the Inno Pocket Spot

For $200 , why not, I mean thats what say the Inno Scans and Roller are going for new. I think I will get these when I have an extra $400 I want to spend on DJ gear.

Buyer Beware. I think you need to compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges. Moving heads are not the same as scanners or rollers. If the 'cheapest' brand name moving head is $500, then there is a reason that these are $200, and you can be assured it's not just because of the name.

I agree...they gotta give on something. With moving heads, it's usually lesser quality optics, AND slower speed capability. Also, it claims 30 watt LED, maybe it is, but it might not appear as bright as say as Chauvet 25 watt LED moving head fixture.

Or, it could be adequate at all the above, and it's an amazing deal....

...I just know with the Cheap Chinese fixtures on Ebay they are a good bang for the buck, but optics, brightness, and speed are all poor.

I wish they were Monoprice branded .. I would have bought one at 20% off (today only) .. would have certainly been worth $160.

Damn it Steve...I hate seeing these threads when an amazing sale is going on... :indecisive:

I don't NEED one, but damn for $160 it's almost worth buying just to test out and see if it's a great light or not...I could always add it to my 2 Inno Pocket Spots

I wanst necessarily trying to compare them , that would be silly you know.

These are all basically ADJ Inno Pocket Spot knock offs with a real cheap, but brighter LED bulb inside. Probably a bit slower on movement, but maybe exactly the same.
