OK, This is a new one on me, I've done over 200 wedding receptions and never ran into this problem before.

Client has booked me to do their event, how ever will not tell me where the venue is going to be at. After a dozen calls to the client, and the day of the event, I'm still no closer to finding out where the reception is. I have been stressing about this dam dance for two weeks now because I think the "bride" is playing head games. I asked her are you still wanting us to dj your event, and she replies "oh yeah".

Ok so.... what would your suggestions be.

A little additional information: she has not sent the contract in and this event is a "FREEBIE" from a gift certificate I donted to a school that they auctioned off to raise money.

I would simply tell her that because she had not returned the contract in the alloted 7 days I have signed a contract for her date.

The venue must be listed on the contract so I couldn't prepare a contact for the client until they selected a venue.

I seriously say again: Tell them someone signed a contract for that date and they didn't return their contract in a timely manner.

run forrest run!

Well I decided to do some investigating and I went to see if she had a facebook page and if she did if there was any type of thing about her wedding reception on her wall and luckly there was so I got the address off that and about 4 hours late she decided to call me with the address. She was a bridezilla and wouldnt talk to me at the event, so i don tknow what her deal is.

The contract states "IN AN EVENT OF A NON SIGNED CONTRACT WITH IN OUR OFFICES WITH IN 3 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT NO SERVICES WILL BE RENDERED".

that's just friggin' WEIRD!!!
if they were having a serious problem with the venue, I could understand.
If they still hadn't booked the venue (??) I could understand.
But to not tell you WHERE, and not offer an explanation...
make no sense.

I think ONE of your phone calls should have been,
"NEVER MIND. I'M SHOWING UP!"

chalk it up to experiance....no more freebee certificates unless contract is specific and signed. This will be a bridezilla from hell.....treat with kid gloves and smile smile smile...you may get other bookings if you are so sweet that she wants to puke. I did this ONCE and learned my lesson. Weddings take so much energy and time to prepare for some Brides have no idea and then you are supposed to pull the "perfect day" out of your a** at the last minute.

OOPS re-read and saw you already did the event....sorry you had to go thru this
