Looks like Denon is releasing a new controller this week, midi controller with built in mixer. I wonder what the street price will be. It looks like the perfect solution to make a smaller all in 1 rack system, add some functionality and save some weight at the same time.

Ben, Do you think we could get pricing on this new controller?

I see that Numark released a new controller as well and it comes with a full version of Tracktor S4

I got huge compliments from one of Vancouvers top three Club DJs Saturday night simply mixing it up with my HD2500 and quote my sick assed mixes. Plus the compliment about the boom from my room. Two Dyna tops and the single powered 15. They had four Jbl tops and two 18 inch subs. German Technology. I would love to test drive this new beast tho.

Looks like Denon's answer to the ADJ VMS4, huh?

Still don't understand why Denon & ADJ put the pitch sliders in the wrong place... same contract manfacturer maybe?

Denon's MAP on the new piece is $799. Unfortunately, I too thought that it had too many buttons placed too close together. I ended up buying a VMS4 - it's a solid piece and I think it'll be the product that puts American Audio in the same circles as more expensive brands.

Strangely enough, even Gemini has a couple of hardware controllers for Virtual DJ.

Brendan and all, thanks for the feedback.

Those buttons and knobs control all the key elements of your app; File browsing, Video, EFX, Hot Starts, Loops, Faders, EQs and Mics, which is intended to keep your hands off the keyboard and mouse and more focus on the dance floor.

When you look at the MC6000 closely by deck control perspective, mixer and Mic areas, it all makes sense.

The MC is also smaller in depth, by about 1.5U

About the pitch slider position.
We wanted to keep the layout close to our dual decks, pitch has always been on the right.

I'm a simple mobile DJ. Just give me a simple controller. No need for all the bells and whistles. Something along the lines of the old DAC 2 would work for me.

Start, stop, pause, cue and jog wheels or even a forward and rewind button or wheel. That new Dicer would be cool if I could remap the buttons the way I wanted.

I totally agree with you Sarge.

I've found through my testing, that some of the newer controllers -- with far too many knobs and buttons -- are actually harder to work then a keyboard and mouse.

Plus, you have all yer eggs in one basket -- meaning mixer, controller and sound cards. You lose most of your interface and output chain in one shot, if the unit fails.

I think the manus are going too far in the direction of a sound mixing console, as opposed to a simple, workable DJ solution -- where most of your time is spent on the crowd, and not searching for a knob or button...

I agree too and since DJ needs vary, there should be a model lineup of choices.
1. Basic
2. Advanced
3. Flagship

I would consider the MC as “Advanced”.

Ah, but that’s the beauty of the MC6000, its backup and fail safe function is its non dependency on the PC to function as a real mixer. So if the computer or app fails for whatever reason, the MC continues to output audio from connected external analog devices while you reboot.

98% of all similar [all in one] controllers on the market today require a computer connection to work. The MC is always a real 4-ch mixer with or without a computer connection.

Congrats on V5 !

My question for you Mr. Denon is when will the MC6000 be ready to ship or be available at dealers.

Also something different altogether, but I loose my left deck on the HD2500 while running VDJ sometimes. Any clue?

End of Nov is our target date.

From our side it would be an all or nothing connection.
Loss of 1 side points to VDJ.
