November Deal Time for Gear

It's a RF signal, so it "can" go through walls .. but I don't have experience with the unit to know how strong of a signal it uses. The "pro" version uses diversity (2 antennae) so it should be more tolerant of crappier signals.

I watched a youtube Video where the Stealth Wireless seems to work flawlessly outside, clear line of sight at 100 feet away. The REviews are either "Great" or "Not Good" ....LOL. ...One DJ has said the unit works, but he wouldn't use them at an event where your reputation is on the line. ...That doesn't make much sense to me...why would I buy the system to NOT use at events I am booking? If I buy the system, I need it to work well at weddings. Sure, maybe there is a once in a blue moon event I book that is outside and I need a speaker way over there and don't want to run a buch of speaker cable, but can't say I've done one of those in a long time. ...I would use the system for when I need a speaker on the other side of a big ballroom, or in another room where running speaker cable just isn't really feasible.

Debating what to do...Not sure if my Lav units are up to the task either.

I might just get a pair of the 10s at that price .. the weight is a bit high though .. 42# for the 10" and 51# for the 12s. My JBL PRX 12" are 34.

Yeah the weight is high, but they are certainly sturdy speakers. Real Stout! Kind of like the Yamaha DSRs cabinet wise. I imagine the magnet on those woofers is much heavier than the magnet on the TS line up as well...I mean if the woofer is able to withstand that powerful of an amp it must be a heavier cone and magnet.

They are suppose to have a lot more top end compared to the TS Line. I have heard the 12 at medium volume in store, and the sound was real good, but never had a chance to crank it up. I think these units are the remaining stock that wasn't sold by chain stores. Guitar Center and the like are not carrying the Black line any more. I take it they sent remaining stock back to the manufacturer and this is what is left and being sold at a major discount.

I have no more room for speakers, and my wife would kill me if she sees another speaker show up at our door step, LOL. Otherwise, I would jump on this right now.

You should buy a pair, and compare them to your other speakers in a shoot out video! :)

If I had a buyer for them if they don't work out, I would immediately .. the weight is a bit more than I was looking at and I already have to find a home for the ELS Go 8BTs.

I may be getting the 12's. With my external EQ, these could be very good for the price. So tempting!

Another November Deal!

Alto Professional Black 12 12" 2-WAY 2400 WATT LOUDSPEAKER + WIRELESS | eBay

The DJ Store on Ebay has Alto BLACK series speakers for only $299 for the 12s. ...I remember when they were selling for $849 brand new! Considering these are suppose to be 1200 watts continuous, sounds like a real bargain!

They also have the 10 inch Alto Black Speakers for $199 each!

Just bought 2 of the 12's for $568 including free shipping. I am crossing my fingers but I am quite excited! If they perform anywhere near their specs and are reliable it may be a good steal for someone like me who has SRM 450V2's That I bought used as previous rental gear. They took a beating.

I think this is the best speaker deal of the decade...I mean the Black Series are Alto's premium line up. They didn't sell super well probably because in store they were priced at $849 for the 12s, but they were made to out perform the QSCs and the like. I bet they have a lot of head room! You can also wirelessly control the EQ with an Apple phone and their airstream app.

I want to purchase so bad, but just can't do that...I have already bought 4 speakers this year.

The fact that you can delay these speakers via the app is amazing. I will do a few school dances with these as my mains now instead of my mackies. It won't be a fair comparison, but in the gig log I will show sound clips and gain settings etc. Thank you for posting this here!

Those are some fantastic prices. These retailers must need to really just clear space and move the gear!!!!

The Alto Blacks would blow away the QSC K Series. They sound better, more thump....more throw. The K Series sound harsh when they get up there on the volume.

I won't go as far as saying they are better than the K series .. but they appear to be solid, albeit heavy, speakers. I agree .. there is either a v2 coming or they are revamping their lines.

Most cabs are made from plywood. If you mean Nordic birch plywood, in higher ply counts, that's used on the better ones due to the minimal voids. Not sure what the Black series uses.
