For those who know Glenn, his dedication to professionalism and networking in this biz needs no introduction.
For those who are not familiar with Glenn's contributions, I'll post a short bio:
There are many DJ industry-related bbs sites on the 'net today... but Glenn was there first.
Glenn is the founder and Godfather of the online DJ-related bbs forum. Glenn built the online DJ networking system.
Many years ago, Glenn started a site called glenn-miller.com that offered a networking bbs forum for DJs. The site eventually split into two camps. One became ProDJ.com. The other became DJ Chat.com.
Glenn is also the founding father of the CODJA and the USODJA.
Now for some personal thoughts...
For my part, I was slumming on the early forums when Glenn was doing all the work himself. Glenn and I have been good friends and compadres for many years.
When the USODJA was still in an infancy, Glenn offered me a position as moderator on the new forums. Times being what they were, I accepted the job.
Fast-forward a few years. Glenn has retired from the hosting business to devote time to his DJ company. I serve as admin at this site and as membership director/admin for the USODJA thanks to Glenn's assistance and advice.
I feel kinda strange... the roles have been reversed. :hmm: Yet, I have Glenn to thank for his guidance and unlimited assistance over the years.
Glenn, you are welcome at any DJ bbs. You created them and, conversely helped a bunch of wildcatters like us become pros. By setting an example of giving back to the industry via networking, you have made the industry better for everyone.
