this is simply a 1 10 inch speaker on a pole gig , I doubt there is even room to bring the partner or girlfriend

I have that exact same laptop bought it in '07 I believe. It still works great although it's been retired from the road for several years now. it was actually the first lappy I owned I was using desktops for DJing before that
I plan on bringing my camera and taking some pictures. It should be a fun gig. Just don't know how long they will allow him to do this since he wants to do this every Friday. Just wish him the best and I'm just going to do my best with the situation.

I've done bar events for 25 people .. some of the best events, since proximity forces them all to be involved one way or another !
This is not about the number of people that show up. It's about how small the place is. How many people show up or not show up is on him. It's his event. I'm just there to do what I'm getting paid for.
No there is no other Mix. I say to myself they need to see enough money being made to keep this going each and every Friday. With a place this small I say they will have to pack the house with a bunch of thirsty people to justify keeping him there every Friday. I just see it as being a tough thing to do in this place. I'm going to pray and just get out of the way.
Just remember, with spoken word, a smaller top speaker will generally sound clearer. 10" or 12" top would be better than a 15" top, since a lot of the voice is handled by the woofer and 15" isn't the best driver to make that sound good.
