I've found that buying the expensive bubble juice (the $25 stuff) is worth the money.

I go through 2 bottles per party... No way I would spend $50 on bubble juice, and I can't imagine that if I tacked that price on to a bubble party, that I would get many parties.

I'm generally only getting $195 - $250 per bubble party.

I could see doing a wedding or fancier party using the good stuff but with an upsell of course. Charge for machine and juice rental. As for the outdoor kids parties they just want to see lots and lots of bubbles. Once they pop who cares, right? $2.99 vs. $25.00, kids are getting the cheap sh@!.:sqwink:

Well, it looks like I'll be booking my first bubble/parachute party for June 21. It's a party in the park for 25 kids. I just need to update my contract and send it off.

Looking forward to the event. May the bubbles be with me!

it's all good..

ruben..just don't stress out!!..i was so wired up prior to my first bubble party that a was shaking...but come to find out if you have fun, work hard to keep the kids active and have enough adult supervisors, you can't fail...remember, these are kids and bubbles and a few adults regressing to childhood:sqbiggrin:..one thing that i included was the gift giveaway(small, cheap toys for the kids and trinkets for the supervisors)which were handed out during the "march" music as they marched in front of the bubble machine...don't forget to send a thank you card, another promo flier and a referral request afterwards...enjoy the event pal..:sqlaugh:

I did my first Bubble/Parachute party on Saturday and used our new Carvin battery speaker with our IPOD, which was the only source of music. I had the bubble machine, which was running through a Honda generator so it was also my first time working off the power grid. I did not like the look of my presentation (see the picture below) because the area looked empty. My wife helped me with the event, so she and I have some ideas on a more appealing set up. The event was set up in record time, however, the party started late with the bulk of the kids arriving tardy. To make a long story short, the party was a hit. The client (April) was very pleased with the outcome and she is already planning her next party including Mora Entertainment.

On a personal note, the bubble machine is a pain in the butt to clean.

I got asked to do a 30 minute only party today... but they only want to pay $125, and it is all 2 and 3 year olds.... not sure if I will.... plus side is that I don't need to drag everything around... can bring a lot less stuff.

I refuse to do 30 minutes, but have done 45 minutes (but only if they are doing same day back to back parties).
If it's all 2 and 3 year olds, just turn on the machines and play music.

Hey everyone....long time no chat.

I have been very busy here. Bubble Parties are a daily event for me, so my time has been limited to check in and say hello.

I have been reviewing some info I thought I would share:

* If you're running low, check WALGREEN'S! The Walgreen's stores in MA have been running a sale for Bubble solution...$3 per bottle. And from talking with the manager in my area, they can order it if they run out.

* Been working on a demo video that will eventually be used for Bubble Parties. I would love specific feedback. Check it out here....

This was filmed in April...This is just a draft at the moment. I will be working on developing this a little more in the next few weeks.

Hope you are having fun for the 4th! I will be out of town on a well deserved vacation!

Walmart is already out of bubbles near me. The lady said it is end of season... check your supply NOW!!!!!!!!!!![/QUO

I just bought out all of bubble juice on the shelf at WalMart.

I got 10 bottles (100 oz) @ 2.59 per bottle
Party America was selling one bottle @ 64 oz for 3.99 (Sale Price)

When I was shopping for juice I remembered this thread. I saved money but
I hate WalMart.

Bubbles, Kenny Loggins, & Demon Child

I took the bubble/parachute party on the road. It was a very fun and hard working day. The day was filled with bubbles and the song stylings of Kenny Loggins. The outdoor concert was in a resort in the Truckee, CA region.

I had to deal with my first demon child. She did want to leave the top of the parachute. Others kids tried to move her so that they could continue to play. The fruit of Satan’s loins would cluch the parachute with both hands and literaly bite down on it.

Well, I finished up another party today... Dang this was a HARD ONE.... 93 degrees, full sun, 250' to carry gear... plus the kids didn't know the usual songs I play. It was VERY strange.

The owner liked it though. She asked me to find a free day in October and send out a contract.

35 in the books, with several more to go.

Good for both of you. It's nice to see things work for guys who deserve it.

For my first year out I have 12 booked. One place I was at called back and asked me to do their family fair in Sept. I had another place call me last week and book 2 then call me back yesterday and book 2 more. By next year I see this thing snowballing. Good thing I'm training one of my daughters.

I also have booked by towns summer camp for next year. I'll be doing one 2 hour show each week for the duration of the camp. That should be about 8 shows. The director said to me and I quote "I don't care how much you charge, I just want you here".

The Big Bubble Dance Jam might just go national.:sqwink: I better TM that before Peter gets wind of it.

Just got back from dinner out, and the mom of a boy who was at my party asked me to send a contract out for a September party.... cool. 11 AM on a Saturday.... I do that and then go to work.

I need to update some songs..... I think that many of what I am currently using may be "stale" or something.

Here are a few I think I might like to replace.

Let's Get it Started
Hokey Pokey
Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride ( Lilo and Stitch )
Cotton Eyed Joe

I also play - among others -

YMCA
Who Let the Dogs Out - Disney
All Star
I Like to Move It
Spongebob Theme song
We Will Rock You
Chicken Dance

I'm thinking of adding some Hannah Montana.... not even sure what to add...

any suggestions?

BTW, any sources for the ORIGINAL Scooby Doo Theme song?
