Okay SVO (and others)
I have my laptop-gigaport-mixer-JBL PRX's laying on your gurney. They arent dead, just very sick. What is your diagnosis????
Last night I only had audio from one speaker. I have a signal coming from the both channels of the mixer. finally realize that I have to depress the "mic in" button on the back of the PRX's instead of the normal "line in" setting to make it work.
Everything seems fine from laptop to mixer. Playing through both channels.
I bypassed the driverack for ease of tracking the problem.
The signal coming from the mixer is EXTREMELY hot. I have to keep my main volume on the mixer at about 1/10. Normally I run it at about 8/10. My mic gain is extrmemly sensitive and loud.
Why would my PRX's only work in the "mic in" setting? Is my mixer toast and sending out a strange signal? I could not figure this out in the heat of the moment and will set them up later tonight but wondered if this has happend to anyone?
