This sound system was way overkill, but...

Mix, you're just repeated yourself. Yes, like you said before… The size of the room doesn't matter if there's only 65 people in it. Do you think a room for 600 people was rented for a party of 65? That would also be overkill LOL.

Going crazy with the volume of this system for 65 people wouldn't impress them. It would damage their hearing! I understand that you like to bring more rig than is necessary and I agree with you on that. But bringing way more than necessary is overkill :)

What I typically like to do when I can is check out the venue and where the event is to take place for 2 reasons. To introduce myself to the staff and get an idea of what I need to use for a particular room. There were 65 people that attended the event but how do we know that more were invited to attend that didn't show up? Dun said it best. If used wisely it can work out well. I can bring in just 2 tops with no sub and depending on how I use it that can be overkill. The assumption is with that setup the DJ went crazy with it. We don't know because we weren't there. We just see a picture and that's all we see.

This is coming from a guy that brought a bunch of mismatched speakers to a medium size room that was upstairs for a crowd of 30 :dontknow:

Mix would bring a set of earthquakes in the bathroom just to take a shit.
I couldn't resist putting a like to this one . That's just too funny . I said what I would do and that is to do my best to find out what is needed for the job .
Trust me that room where we did that room isn't a medium size room . it's large with a tall ceiling .
