Tuesday - Aug 17th, ODJT meet and greet... any interest? At the AC show.

It's finally official, I am going! Thanks to Ben and Kat for the free pass I won in their Facebook contests (although that wasn't what was keeping me from going). Finally worked out the logistics and such and booked my room last night. I'll be coming down Sunday night (not sure of the time yet) and leaving early Thursday.

Not sure of my schedule yet, some friends knew I was probably coming down and may have made plans for me already, haha. Although...if the Kougars are involved I am definately in! :) LOL!

Anywho...I'll keep an eye out for y'all. I'm posting this from my phone so I can't see my avatar, if it's still Rowlf then you can find pics of me on my website or on Facebook.

PM me if anybody wants to exchange numbers. I gotta go load up for an early wedding, I'll be back online tonight.

Ok on Tuesday -

But one note. The expo floor closes @ 6p & I know after being on your feet for 6 hrs, the desire to go back to your room to change shoes/drop off your stuff, etc may be something that those working the hall want to do.

Where are you staying? I would wonder if the Showboat hotel lobby might be a better place, since a lot of us (hint hint.... ;) ) are staying there.

Could 6:30p be doable instead?

Again, just some things to think about.

I don't know that we have enough to make this worth doing. Some of you know me, and some of you know what I look like, and vice versa... I'll just try to see you throughout the day... plus, I will probably stay for the House of Blues party.

I decided I was too cheap to pay $195 or more for a hotel room, so I will get there Tuesday, and head home Tuesday night.
 
Taj Mahal Rooms in Chairman's Tower are only $125 per night
Next door Showboat $ 90 night

Resorts & Tropicana as low as $90 night

Then, just outside of town , 8 to 10 minutes away - Holiday Inn Express, Best Western Motor Inns--$79 per night

No name motels--as low as $59 night

Not available according to when I checked their websites last week.
 
Call the Hotels on the phone. Believe me--they have rooms available.

A/C looks like a ghost town compared to its usual bustling self. The economy has taken a serious toll on the Casinos and Hotels.
 
Sorry I missed our dinner date Sarge I ate West Coast Sushi and realized I wasnt on the East Coast. So decided to give you a call. Glad I didnt wait at the restaurant for ya. Would have been an expensive effort with travel and all. Nice talking with ya. Be sure to give Kat that hug for me.

Not sure, just offering to work with all of you on it. Partially depends on how many people from ODJT that will be coming out?
 
Considering the great attendance of ODJT members last February at MBLV, I think it's a great idea to begin planning on attending now. I don't know exactly how many we had at our dinner, but I dare say we must have had close to 20 members there!

It was great to meet everyone!
