Was flight 93 shot down?

Does anyone read the newspaper? (You know, that group of reporters that follow up with all the mundane facts & truth long after the glitzy smoke and mirrors of pop culture have moved on?)

The simple solution is ususally the correct one. There's no conspiracy here.

Surely, someone could have sat in the pilot's seat and kept that plane aloft long enough to contact an air traffic controller somewhere for instructions on what to do next.

You make it sound like the hijacker was sipping a pina-colada while the plane just cruised toward Washington on auto-pilot.

I'm a smart guy. But I don't know squat about pulling a jet liner out of a rolling dive after the hijacker gets yanked out of the pilot seat. I'm also not that good at finding radio controls while I'm in free-fall.

The folks on that plane did what they knew how to do. They came up with a simple but effective plan. The primary goal was not saving the plane - it was sparing the target.

OK - I was not going to say it - But I have too - The reason many of you charge under $900 is due to Gov. Brain Washing - I could go into details but I would be tracked down and shot - The next phase is the Cult Scientology and the Moonies will talk you into using Gemini products - not the manufacture here but the base camp on Gemini 12.

GOD SAVE ALL YOU SICK freaks!

Yeah -- first thing on my mind at 20,000 feet is saving the target -- uh-huh, sure :sqlaugh:

Survival comes first -- ideology second :sqwink:

Fortunately there are still many people with idealism and humanity that runs deep into their soul.

They all already knew what was going to happen, they didn't know a target, how much time they had, or if they would survive. But after a couple phone calls they knew, unlike many hijackers in the past that very much televised, they weren’t going to be landing on some remote runway for hours of hostage negations – we’ve all see the human-homicide bombers on news reports and they all had as clear of an image as possible they were in a dire situation.

I admire them and consider anyone who would sit now and second guess their intentions uncouth. What would I have done? I honestly don’t know. But I only hope I could have had the courage they had for such an undertaking and knowing the potential of the outcome….. My heart honestly goes out to the families of these individuals….. For the armchair quarterbacks - I wouldn’t even wish such a situation on you and your family.

Of which neither one takes precedent over Human Nature

A humans instinct tells us to get ourselves out by whatever means we can...Survive. As most people I have humanity and to an extent I am idealistic. As a matter of fact I am one of the softest people you will ever meet but if it comes down to me and you overboard you go

I have a list of people I am willing to die for and its a very short list. I don't mix up idealistic and realistic. Unless there are people I love on that plane I look to survive first. I have a family to come home to so I keep the policy that if my life is put at risk by anyone they deserve what comes next

Regardless if those people on the plane were trying to save themselves or save the masses they are looked upon as heros and that is the way it should be
